Beautiful and large OLED screen, headphone jack with 384kbps, dual stereo speakers that sound great, large battery, fast charging, etc.

                  I don't know how many people here have owned the 8/256 version, perhaps you could share how you got it, purchase online or retail shop.

                  I hate the 6/128 version, why can't huawei make it this device with all 8/256 only since this is a huge screen display, it should have with big capacities.

But i purchased the 8gb ram 256gb rom version from aliexpress. Asked the seller to convert EVR-AL00 to EVR-L29 Global Rom with Google services. Works like a charm. Used phone clone and transfer from my 6gb mate 20x to 8gb mate 20x. Everything works like a charm. More internal memory and more ram for future proofing.

                            Hamada, 19 May 2021Now we're in May 2021..I will buy it..what's your... moreI don't think you can purchase it anymore, there's no more production and not even a 2nd hand one, ppl will snap up if you sell it, this device is too demanding and popular with its unique 7.2" big screen, oled display, dolby atmos 3d surround stereo speakers, robust cpu and gpu, it is still going very strong and high tech.

                            Although huawei has come up many other latest devices, but up to this point, nothing can beat it.

                              I am using mate 20x for 2 yrs now. it's a beast,incredibly worth every $$.
                              How great if HUAWEI still comes out with a GOOGLE smartphone.
                              as the truth is no other brands can compete with this brand.

But they will burn your pocket. And!! None have been able to beat mate 20x monstrous 7.2 inch screen. I'd say buy if youre looking for an all rounder phablet! Mate 20x FTW

I did send it over for servicing, changed the oled panel & battery, feels like a brand new phone. Kirin 980 is still going strong after all these years. Furthermore im using the chinese variant 8gb ram 256gb rom converted to Global rom, hits the sweet spot till today
