If you read a newspaper do you want it to be the size of average phone screen or nice & big?
I really like the huge x screen. Any other issues such as screen res slightly lower are insignificant. Size matters.
A] If you're dropping your phone into water you're not being careful enough. If it's deep water it's gone anyway !
B] X batt's so huge u only need to plug it in every other day or 3rd day, so no wireless charging is hardly an issue. This is so good I was very frustrated with previous phones like S3 & Note 4 needing juice during the day. All phones should be designed to make it from one night charge to the next. No feature is more important, so wake up manufacturers.
Stop the obsession with thin & light resulting in an inadequate size battery
C] If I switched to the Mate 20 I know I'd be thinking the screen's too small & that curved edge's = awful !.
The X screen size has spoiled me & I'm happy to be spoiled ;-)
For me it's X all the way :-)

Pdadb.net states there is FM radio and gsmarena states no FM radio. Could an owner confirm whether or not there is an FM radio?

Anonymous, 15 Feb 2019Huawei Mate20X is not intended for users who have been livi... moreVery well written. I am a careful buyer. I went to huawei shop many times just to put mate20x into my front pocket and even cut out a paper size equivalent to mate20x size and carry with me. Huawei phone so far i heard good feedback. Samsung phones i PERSONALLY SEE AND HEAR many feedback that their phones not working etc after x period of months year.
I have been using G3 for 4 years plus. Sent to oven to bake for 3 times. In the end died. Now using g4 beat as spare phone. LG G3 was among the first few phones that came out with a 5.5" screen. Hence i bought it after i saw my wife samsung S2 failed and change to Sony Z3 also failed after 2 years. So i continue to use my G3 and watch the market for 2 more years and concluded that china makers like Hua Wei and xiao mi are probably the most trust worthy manufacturers in term of reliability.
My Apple iphone 4 home button failed after 1 year wsrranty up. And i switched to korea brands LG G3 which served me well. Just that their phone sets always very hot when doing something regardless surfing net reading gsmarena forum reviews itm just heated up and can melt my chocolate bars.
Samsung products like their phones esp low end models built to fail after 1 to 2 years. Even their TVs also face the same reliability issues. If we choose a less reliable product the whole world will be flooded with eWASTE. This is why i said i am a careful buyer.
I chosen mate20x because
1. Screen size
2. Battery size
3rd reason is due to i dont have any telco contract now so when i sign a 2 year plan with local telco in singapore i can get a cheaper price for selected phone. So for my mate20x i only pay $59.
Also why i given up LG because their battery size for all their latest phone hover around 3000mAh to 3300mAH. They are not as bold as the chinese who went beyond 3500 or even reach 5000mAH.
Those who dares to dream will succeed.
To LG phone designers: Few questions for you guys.
Q1: How is your job as phone designer? .
Q2: Do you like what you are doing?
Q3: Do you really like the latest LG V50 thinQ? Why no?
Last Q4: Why don't you ignore your management, design a phone that you really want and love?
Answer to these questions from your heart. You may save LG biz. See the number of phones u shipped out to the world? Dropped or increase?
Thank you Hua Wei. I am a very demanding buyer consumer user.

Phone Reviewer, 02 May 2019Buttttt,
The power button on Huawei phones is really conve... moreI'm used to Galaxy Note with volume control top left. On Mate X 20 it's high on the right. So can't reach with right thumb easily, so have to reach over with left hand = awkward ergonomics. They should have put vol button lower on the right so the right thimb can easily reach it, or put it on the left so left hand can easily reach it.
Come on Huawei, it can't be hard to get this kind of thing correct !

Anonymous, 02 May 2019hi, Mate 20 X or P30 (non Pro) ?Hmm that's a difficult one.
If a large screen matters to you get mate 20 X.
If camera is more important get P30.
I'd reccomend P30 it's quite good but mate 20 X is good as well.
But P30 pro and mate 20 Pro are much better choices for similar price, you should get those.

Apart from the material defect (auto adjust to darker screen) I mentioned the bloatware installed is very annoying, e,g, the memory hungry Browser the useless Legend etc..
Having used 5 Huawei phones I have now decided to stop using Huawei phone.

It’s kind of funny that many reviewers in the YouTube complains about the size of it. This phone is made for big size lovers and there are other smaller options to chose if size is the issue. Almost every reviews highlighted it’s size as a cons.
