Xxx, 19 Sep 2019No google service means no android upgrade?Not relevant. Huawei will keep updating it since it's AOSP (open sourced OS), the only thing that's different after the american ban is that it'll not come with google apps which you have to install it yourself if you need it.

Its not the same as the Chinese ones which have Google approval and sideload works, this wont work as Google will block it
