I'm struggling to download especially my banking app.....I struggle with network for both making and receiving calls and sms's. I just don't know what to do anymore.

I g... moreYou are not the only one. I too have tried my best to get Harmony OS but apparently the international model sold by Huawei isn't considered a Mate 40pro based on the official website.
That said, I still enjoy using the phone because Huawei is still offer security patches, the most recent patch I got was for January 2023 which is fantabulous considering that many other devices don't get beyond 1 or 2 years of security updates, the mate40 pro is still getting patches.

First, it was the Samsung Galaxy S10+ that introduced the pill notch because of the dual front cameras. Second, the dynamic island on the iPhone 14 Pro is in the center rather than the corner, and also is interactable.

Has anybody been able to download Harmony OS on their Global mate 40pro global models, yet?
Although there was news a last year and a few months back that the Mate40 Pro 5G model shall get Harmony OS after the Kirin9000 first batch, followed by the 4G models and later the 5G models. In reality only the Chinese models have got the HOS 2.0 and 3.0 update.
Would greatly appreciate it if you can let me know if those of you having the global models were able to get this update. Thanks much in advance!

Facing an issue of light flares when clicking a pic in night. Also the output of pics is ultra vivid , fake punchy colors and a bit dark .
Pleasing to eyes but they look so unreal and dark .
Dont know what's wrong with the camera ..
Anyone else facing the issue ?

Thank you for this review I will try to find P50 Pro Kirin version otherwise I will take the Mate 40 Pro!

I ... moreThey were my daily driver previously (both the Mate 40 Pro HarmonyOS and EMUI versions, and P50 Pro Kirin 9000).
- If you can get P50 Pro the Kirin 9000 version, then get the P50 Pro. If you can only get the SD888 P50 Pro, then you're better off with the Mate 40 Pro as the SD888 will burn the P50 Pro battery. Very inefficient compared to the Kirin 9000.
- Performance (for Kirin), experience and build quality for both phones are similar, but the camera and display (variable 120Hz) are better on the P50 Pro. Mate 40 Pro is 90Hz.
- P50 Pro is also more manageable for one-handed use due to the more compact dimensions.
- Not 100% certain as HarmonyOS doesn't show the Android version anymore but I heard that the Mate 40 Pro is still based on Android 10, while P50 Pro is based on Android 11. We're soon heading to Android 13 this year. Not certain if their Android version will be updated or not.
- P50 Pro also has 4G connection only if that's a big deal for you.
- If you're getting the EMUI version, then both can't be sideloaded with GMS. The MicroG Framework is very handy for the EMUI version, yet the lack of Google Services Framework can be troublesome for some apps depending on your country. If your main apps are not relying on the Google Services Framework, please disregard this point.

Hi guys I got the huawei mate 40pro but I have been facing some issues with wifi. Once I connect to my wifi few weeks letter it will automatically disconnects and forget the network. If I search for network I can’t see my network but other network are available. I have reset network settings still same issue what maybe the issue ?

this versus the mate 50 pro. In desgin, screen and hardware mate 40 pro wins. But in software, battery, and performance mate 50 pro

I would go mate 40 pro for the 3d face unlock and features like eyes on display But you need to consider that the mate is 2 years old now and the p50 pro, globaly, only a couple months old.

I like the mate40 more (design&finish are just amazing) but the P50 is almost at the same price now !!
Hard to decide between the two !
