Sure the camera is amazing but the screen is pretty garbage. Barely 400ppi, really low resolution. No Dolby Vision or HDR10/+ certification. Best smartphone cameras in the world but the screen is absolutely where they keep cutting their products short...

I don't understand. Huawei going backwards? My old Huawei Pro, 10x Optical zoom and up to 100x very good digital zoom. This thing only has 3.5x? Still no 5G not even in the China version? Huawei just give up at this point.

I have been using P40 Pro and it's very great since 2020. The photography and software updates are proven superiors and I have no idea when would I switch to their latest iterations possibly P70 Pro or Mate 70 Pro

I know the whole ban IS related to the development of 5G where the US companies were lagging behind Huawei, so this ban gave US companies a chance to catch up, and the ban was based on the idea (or lie?) that Huawei was a security threat to the US.

I have the S22 Ultra now and it's the worst phone I have ever used. Battery drain, poor camera performance and overall just totally clunky and garbage user interface. I can't believe I paid 1200€ for this.
Wondering about this. I don't use or care for 5G to be honest. Also like the fact that it is without any Google garbage. I am using FOSS apps almost the entire time now anyway for literally everything I do. Most interested in the camera as I take a lot of photos and I want something robust.
Is it worth the price though at 1200€? Was thinking about selling the Samdung and bridging the gap with this.

The reason for the higher ppi is due to mate 20 pro has 2k display whereas the mate 50 pro sit in between 1080p and 1440p. As for the 5g connectivity, it seems like you are not aware of latest news. The US govt has banned huawei from using 5g connectivity thus leading them to only using 4g equipment.

I have mate 20 pro.. and after 5 years of heavy use i regret that my ppi is 538 which is way better than the latest mate 50 pro. I wonder how this flag ship phone not support the 5G connectivity !!
