This entire phone is built with chips that were released before sanctions. Chinese are told this phone is home-built but it ain't so. This phone is being reviewed by govt officials and if the Chinese don't understand that then that's ok by me. Pride stands in the way of many things and you can live your politically correct life as long as you can afford it

One of the best phone I've ever got. Have P40 Pro as well and i can say that all of huawei devices are superb

The significance of the first homegrown 5g processor is huge for people in Mainland China. It's more the achievement in being able to produce it at all despite the US sanctions rather than the actual performance of the chip. For most people the chip will be plenty powerful enough as people buying this phone tend to be the professional classes in large cities who just want a good all round phone with good signal and cameras and don't need a powerful gaming phone

this is 4.9G, it's not displayed as 5G, but better than 4G network performance device.
apps available in China only, not for UK.
