so maybe call it 5.5G
and it support satellite calling and sms
so maybe call it 5.9G

BMT, 01 Sep 2023“The term "3 nanometer" has no relation to any ac... moreWell , im not talking about physical feature nor gate pitch. Im talking about that dude comparing 3nm tech with 20nm in general. Today 20nm fabrication node is an ancient tech for smartphone chip, its no way can match 3nm chip. And that dude sayin manufacturer lie about that, so by that dude logic all people in this world have been fooled by let say TSMc/samsung including company like apple/qualcomm/mediatek by using that tech ?
I knew about transistor density so do apple/qcomm/mediatek engineers.

Jongjave, 01 Sep 2023Oh wow. 3nm close to 20nm. Its amazing for your own reality... more“The term "3 nanometer" has no relation to any actual physical feature (such as gate length, metal pitch or gate pitch) of the transistors. According to the projections contained in the 2021 update of the International Roadmap for Devices and Systems published by IEEE Standards Association Industry Connection, a 3 nm node is expected to have a contacted gate pitch of 48 nanometers and a tightest metal pitch of 24 nanometers.“
That was from wikipedia.
And also, what is really important is the density. Terms like “3nm/2nm” are something like “new generation”
To summarize it all, it’s better to compare benchmarks (even better if they are cross platform) and device to device screen times for deciding better soc.

Anonymous, 31 Aug 2023Why the Chinese one shows it has 5G but this one doesn'... more
If you observe the overwhelming flood of messages on China's self-media platforms, you will understand why. I don't know how much funding is being spent on this marketing. If you believe it supports 5G, it does; if you believe it doesn't, it doesn't. There's no need for argument, the reality of whether it supports 5G is quite evident. It's merely a political symbol, or perhaps the final dignity of nationalism. The renowned Chinese comedian, Guo Degang, once said that an ordinary person who is not an expert in the field instructs a rocket expert, suggesting that rockets should use smokeless coal instead of liquid fuel for launch. If this rocket expert even spares a glance for this layman, then the rocket expert has already lost.

MGS, 31 Aug 2023The phone has 5g connectivity. Congratulations to Huawei!!... moreYes it does support 5G. And also it uses "7-nanometer" generation process for Kirin, not "5-nanometer" generation.

in my opnion i think this chipset is different and better than that old version of kirin 9000.
if we check antutu scores on old version of kirin 9000 you can see this results:
cpu=189670 gpu=287962 mem=126589 ux=89384
total score=693605
now lets check antutu score of new version kirin 9000s:
cpu=279677 gpu=0 mem=225491 ux=194615
total score=699783
so as you can see the cpu,mem and ux is much higher than old kirin.
the cpu,mem and ux scores are around snapdragon gen 2!!!
so if we imaging a high score for huawei new gpu like 500000 which you can find on snapdragon gen 2 smartphones then it is really compareble with snapdragon gen 2.
you can find such a score on snapdragon gen 2:
cpu=261886 gpu=538823 mem=236163 ux=175302
total score=1212174
so this kirin 9000s is much better than kirin 9000.
and we may expect that huawei gpu maleoon 910 might be about 500000 or even much higher like 600000 or 800000.
we know when huawei do something,it will be best :)
