The Kirin 9000S chip is not using ARM design and no more western patent. It is 100% design, made and own by China.

Come on Huawei! Sell this outside your home country maybe even just to non-US aligned/vassal nations!!! Still using your good'ol 2019 Huawei Mate 30 & I'm now itching to get an upgrade to another Huawei Flagship with Kirin Soc.

And no, 3nm isn't 10nm, it's probably worse than even that. Probably closer to 20. And it varies depending on the manufacturer claiming they're producing "3nm chips". Samsung's idea of 3nm is probably quite different from TSMC's idea of 3nm.

The Antutu results show that this "Kirin 9000S" might as well be a regular 9000. A score of only 699k.
That is atrocious. I mean this is a 2023 flagship with 2020-level performance. Even mid range SoCs nowadays can outperform this chip, and mid range SoCs are almost always underperforming scams.
And don't even get me started on the vomit-inducing triple holes in the display.

Matteo.fffu, 30 Aug 2023you wrong, huawei hasn't show the 5G symbol but from s... moreSaw an unboxing video. It doesn't show 4G/5G at all. But tests show that the speed ranges from 100Mbps (indoor) to 400Mbps (outdoor). That's faster than any 5G network that we get here in the US.

pat, 30 Aug 2023the chip was designed and made prior 2020, this is how much... morePretty ahead lol considering no other country can do it with western colonial forced monopoly. Give them some years and hopefully we can see healthy competition and cheaper consumer product by 2030.
