AnonD-627051, 12 Jan 2017Camera is very good but you must know make pictures... It seems that you have not seen good camera phones. I suggest you take a look at Lumia 950/950 XL camera, you would know what I was talking about.

had the Mate2 for almost 3 years.
I've had the Mate8 for almost 3 months.
Still one of the best phones out there. LOVE IT!
I don't give two hoots which OS it has, as long as it is rock stable, and it is, just as 4.3 & 5.1 were on my Mate2. Great phone, fantastic battery life.

Huawei mate 8 the best both its primary and secondary camera are mzwaah! Cant complain neither look for other option.

Plz can someone share its experience who used both devices mate 8 n honor 8..... Which one is good overall ...I used mate 8 n now switching to honor 8 , I love mate 8 but it's a lil bit feeling heavy in hands n some what towards bigger size not felt easy in hand mostly for small handed person although it's built quality is very compact n well balanced being a 6 inches otherwise I m totally satisfied with its design battery n performance....So kindly suggest me that how is honor 8 because it's all same as mate 8 except camera is good n size is very compact 5.2 ...Help me

Once I gave S7 Edge to my wife and she threw it back to me saying that it is not possible to type on this handset. But bro, keep in mind that Mate 8 camera is not good. I wish I could send you some pictures that I took with Mate 8.

That glass is frightening, and i read articles that the curved screen makes typing a mission on Hard difficulty. Mate 8 it is then. Price dropped since the mate 9 but the 8 also received the Nougat and EMUI 5.0 update so its a win!

For me, Mate 8 last at least 40 to 50% more than S7 Edge (the Exynos version). Mate 8 drawbacks compared to S7 Edge are Camera performance, display, tough I dont think the display is too bad and EMUI. The plus points of Mate 8 are, RAM management as you will really get a lot of free memory even after installing all your apps, battery, solid build quality IMO, lightning fingerprint sensor, very smooth operation.

In terms for real life daily use, which phone gives better battery life, Mate 8 or S7 Edge. Bench tests are not accurate in determining daily use, imho. So if there is anyone out there who has experience with both devices as daily drivers, please share

The proximity sensor is too far from the ear piece. Sometimes the screen will not turn off during calls when you're holding the phone on your ear.

Yes no doubt abt mate 8 one of the best device I love n I LL recommend to every one who want a big best device ...I recently switched to honor 8 from mate 8 n reason was nothing big except it's big size( a holding issue )that's why honor 8 same processor as mate 8 I loved , same performance as mate 8 I needed ,but small design which is so comfort to use only 5.2 instead of 6" ...Mate 8 is a device to remember

Wow, has been over 8 months that I first had a look and a bit of a play with this phone. One of our retailers had this out on display today and after 10 minutes with it I walked away thinking this, to me, is one of the very best phones in terms of design, build quality, feel in the hand and performance, the camera also looked good to me. I thought it felt easier to handle than the iPhone 7 plus, almost the same physical size but with a 6" screen over the iPhones 5.5". Fantastic job Huawei.

In fact, it doesn't mean more than just keeping apps in the background in memory but if you close your apps directly after opening (which is not recommended) the RAM is useless
