knykcom, 04 Mar 2016sometimes you need to ask yourself, do you really need 4k? ... moreTrue & yes the 4k video recording is not a big deal, however raised it as an issue in comparison to other flagship in its class, therfore lags in this respect.
Curious though regards the functionalities and built in special features for the Huawei mate 8..is there a video on all the features like those made for the Samsung Galaxy note series?
Would help in the making the decision.

Great device. Display is great. Color are vivid and prefer this display than my 6p which is somewhat yellowish and i dont like it and i prefer cooler tone.Performance is great, the best i use so far, better than my 6p and note5.No drop of Fps on navigating the ui its buttery as IOS. for its camera its above average for me.Front and Rear camera is great in daylight also the best OIS in the market. In lowlight thats when the camera suffer, well almost 90% of smartphones. HDR will clean up and the OIS really help for that night shot. Battery is where it shines.best battery life no one else come close. 7-8 hrs of screen on time. enough said.go to work at 8am with 100% and with moderate use.by the time its 5pm my battery is still in 60% on my 6p it will drop 30% or my note5 to 20%.

Have for the last few weeks , been contemplating the choice of Huawei mate 8 vs Samsung Galaxy note 5
Conflicted between a far better spec sheet of Huawei mate 8, I.e. screen size , battery power, processor, etc the down side doesn't run 4k video, and knuckle functions..pretty nifty.
The Samsung galaxy note 5 however offers the 4 k video experience and better resolution as a trade off to the specs..and not to mention the key word 'reliability'
My primary concern is ensuring a good build quality of any phione I purchase, based recent concerns of the 'auto focus' on the front camera of the Huawei..this may however just be a 'one off glitch'for the specific device
A phone is certainly not just a 'sum of its parts / specs'..
Have to admit I'm leaning towards the Huawei mate 8..
I guess for now waiting more more convincing reviews..
PS have used the Huawei G750 and have had no issues..in terms of quality and performance.
