Are both sims dual active like mate 7?

If the price (USA) comes down to a RESPECTABLE level, I might upgrade my Mate2.
I'm sure not paying 700-1000 dollars (U.S.) for a phone, no matter how good it is.
I LOVE the mate2, but I'm sure not paying 3 times what I paid for it. Yeah, the Mate2
had mid specs, but it's fast for my needs. I don't do games. Why can't Huawei come up
with another "mate2" like phone with an update? It looks like they want to go all Apple/Samsung with their prices!

          One word: PERFECT.
I got it from 01.08.2016 did not reveal any problems. On one case for real charge the battery (100%) is approximately 6,5 hours working on display during 41 hours 100-2% on.

Goku, 14 Jan 2016Huawei mate 8 is impressive but i think 16 megapixel camera... moreman they gave you 1080p@60fps,why the heck are you expecting more this feature that this phone only provide is only available in professional dslr...and still you want uhd or 4k ??....

and for your information uhd of samsung galaxy s5 and 4k of iphone 6s is fake not orignal.

this phone is offerring you a lot in such a price range.

I had the opportunity to play with the phone while on trip to Beijing last week. It really looks sleek and premium, but quickly flipping through screens the phone experienced stuttering twice. This was a complete turn off for me as it appears that there may not have been extensive testing and optimization performed prior to manufacturing or there are issues with the chips.

Disclaimer: I am a proud owner of Huawei Nexus 6P and love the phone. Have not had any issues since it was purchased a month ago.

Anonymous, 02 Dec 2015Mate 8 is 185g and 7.9mm width, but it isn't a good design ... moreWith 78.0% screen-to-body ratio there is no space to put the fingerprint sensor on the front. With a 6" display it is smaller than all competitors.

the only thing that bothers me about this phone, is that it's still not available in my country. I'm really looking forward to this.

Design is personal taste. I like Huawei design more than that of other big OEM like Apple, Samsung, Sony, LG, etc, especially this Mate 8.

You aren't the developers of that smartphone and in my opinion they are telling us what is really on that phone, it's there companies reputation to insure that all the information were true.

Bro, 12 Jan 2016You should save money for snapdragon 820 powered phones.... No point. You cant max out the performance of the Kirin 950 anyways with day to day tasks, the Mali T880 may be more power efficient than the adreno 530 and it has a 1080P display. Unless you wanna wait until Google announces a phone with a 820 soc, it wont be worth. If the makers dont update theyr UI, then the phones will continue to be slow. The Nexus 6P, with the 810 V2.1 is already more future proof, than an S7 with an 820 or 8890. Software matters a lot more than a 40% improvement, when theres really no visible real usage benefit, since it will be stuck in android marshmallow, and the 6p will be on 7.1.
