I'm currently using Huawei Mate 8 which I bought second-hand and it still runs smoothly after 6 months. That is impressive considering the fact that the phone was out since end of 2015. The mate 9 should easily last at least 2 years IMHO.

Amazing phone i can use this phone for 3 months no issue found yet great bettery backup dslr camera bigger display which i need in 1 phone all things available in this phone its much better display than amoled which have fake colours and also very fast phone no heating issue

Is it still worth the bucks to buy the mate 9 nowadays? I'm interested in the camera n battery size the mate 9 carries. Does the performance still hold like when it was launched?

I have this phone for almost a week now. I would say this phone is very nice. It has everything that you're looking for a device. Amazing camera, long lasting battery, bigger screen, WiFi is really fast.

Mate 9 , is wow to me . its been a year now since I started using this phone. all is now , the phone is doing what the spec says. I'm loving it. Good phone .

Batt... more i have this problem too >>> sometimes it freezes, and it occasionally loses internet connectivity (i have to remove my sim card to restore internet connectivity) >> specialy when im use massenger or whats >> the msg freezed .. must wait 5 min or more to get the connection again to sent the msg or make restart or remove sim :S any help ?

Think I will wait for the Mate 10. Needs to have AMOLED screen and be water-resistant. Those are the deal-breakers.

since long time i am a sumsung fan now, I bought Mate 9 while i am talking if I connet with bluetooth sund not coming any body can help help.

Purchased my Mate9 in Jan/2018. Worked fine for me until my screen broke last month. I live in Paris (by the way)
Only Authorised repair shop is a store named POINT SERVICE MOBILE.
Surprusingly they charged me 130 euros for the screen replacement and for the digitizer. (I AM NOT SURE ABOUT THE ACTUAL PRICEIN THE MARKET)
Had to do it because I was in need of my phone.
Prior to the repair, my phone never let me control the function because it presses lot of buttons constantly on its own with my entire screen coverned in red colour parallel lines.
(Not sute if they have used an ordinary or duplicate acreen replacement. After the repair, i have lost the screen clarity, camera quality although it still give a picture with 5.7mb size whe in 20mp mode.
That said, its been just aday ater the repair, and I am facing the same automatic button presses on my screen and ita impossible to stop it. Phone heats up alottttt.
Plz advise what shall I do?
True I am visiting that shitty standalone atore again but I think i am fcuked already.
Moral of my post:Mate9 is an awesome phone but incase if anything happens to your phone, you are screwed because they lack in service center.

The mate 7 never gave me a reason to look for a new phone......until it's fate. Anyway, because the mate 7 did me well for two years, I chose the the mate 9 as it's latest form. Very impressed at the progress of the mate. Regardless of the water proof issue, it has a grand feeling on the palm with loads to offer. Well done Huawei!
