Buyer beware situation in the USA. The product is nice, but crippled in comparison to the international model. The part about owning a Mate 9 in the USA, is customer/ technical support....these people do nothing, they know nothing....in comparison to the European support team who are by far much better. Why do get the bum options in the USA??

I get my replacement set from center due battery percentage stuck during used and charge..my replacement set also having same problem..why like that..

Can anyone tell me why my ' Sync Contacts ' is totally disappeared from my gmail account ? I checked my permission management, I clicked every permission needed by gmail and contacts still missing from my gmail account.

When i Play Games or Have video calls or even using Youtube for a while the phone over heat .. is it a normal thing or i should take it for service check ... it is not like a normal warm of using apps, actually it gets heated up and i can feel the heat on the screen and at the back of the phone ... appreciate your advice.

Any tried the Huawei Health app (running, cycling, skiing??) that comes with Mate9 or any 3rd party GPS tracking app that plots a track off road? The Mate9 seems to be unable to track correct distances when the device is moving around? Distances overclocked by over 100% with many jumps in position fix- a major design fault perhaps? I'd be interested in other users experience? Using build B158.

Night-time pics aren't exactly the best ones out there, but okay in my opinion. Not that I take a lot of pictures at night. Phone doesn't really even get hot, remains warm at it's worst. Check out the bending test on YouTube, this phone is pretty well built.

my mate 9 suddenly acting superb fast after updating software to B158...
as for now, it running so smooth than be4...

This phone is amazing. Great battery life, camera is really good, screen is so damn bright that it's easy to read in a sunny day and sound quality while using headphones seems to be pretty good. Speakers are very loud, hard to miss a call or a notification. The sound is obviously flat like all phone speakers out there. Fingerprint scanner is working well, it's very fast.
Build quality is really nice as well, but the phone is slippery and made of aluminum, of which I'm not the biggest fan. Kirin 960 seems to be able to handle Android really well, doesn't lag at all. Gaming I haven't tried, I have a high-end PC for that purpose.
UI's use of white color bothered me and so I downloaded a theme (from XDA) which made the whole UI (settings-menu too!) dark. Wish this phone had AMOLED-screen... That's my only real "issue" with this phone. Other than that, I couldn't be happier with my purchase!
