Was really looking forward to this as it's a great spec but disappointed that it's so small. Was hoping for at least 6.4 as Mi max and Lenovo phab are. Shame as won't even consider it now.

Once upon a time I had a China phone. was fm radio. But always that's sounds were .......... pi.............. was 13 mp camera but that's picture quality was quality less. Was 3gb ram but always hang and appear please clear some memory. All apps were installed but 80% apps not running. That's waste my lots of time and money. This is the China phone. So you may think how many iPhone you can buy thats wasted money.

Strange comment - you look at a large screen phone and than say it's over sized.
Wish this exellent phone were even bigger like 6.2 inch.....

using P9 atm. great device! I had samsung note 3,4,5, and s6 &7edge. they all great devices at the beginning, but after I put SD card in or 3 months usage, the phone will start freezing. Have to admit that Samsung spent a lot on outfit design,which was impressive every time they released new phones, but Huawei, from the launch of P9/PLUS, it's no longer shitty looking phones, even P9 LITE looks sleek too. and most important thing is it doesn't have too much factory default apps, and you can really hide those apps that you don't want.

If they make it in Blue, with curved screen and waterproof (like IP 68), it would be a nice replacement for Note 7.

If this phone comes with IPS Neo LCD screen like the previous Mate phones, then the blacks are nearly as black as in amoled displays. This is a new technic by JDI Japan. If you have already a mate phone compare the blacks with the blacks of other LCD phones like apple for example. You will see a difference. I personally like amoled screens because of the punchy colours but I also like IPS because the fonts are usually sharper depending of course on the resolution. It all boils down to personal preference. I owned the Mate 7 and I really liked it. Skipped the Mate 8 and now waiting for the Mate 9 as the Samsung Note 7 has been discontinued.

i think ips display much better it used by apple since then until present very crisp nd clear.. i cant tell it when i bought the ipad air... thumps up for huawei mate 9 planning to buy this phone... once availble...
