Dear, i have used my mate 9 pro 6/128 gb. But till now os 7.0. when upgrade to os 8.0. Anybody get os 8.0? Please tell me

Try disabling "show SIM contacts". Set it up to have only Google contacts enabled. Synchronization helps as backup and also you can manage your contacts more easily at contacts.google.com. (Do you use default call / contacts app?)

I have used my mate 9 pro for about 3 months now and really like it except that my contracts keeps messing up....they get duplicated several times and some contacts even get missing from my contacts even though they still remains there and such contacts can easily be located via true caller. It also at times merges some contacts at my blind side making it extremely difficult to locate such contacts until you receive call and realized that you are talking to a different person that what your contact depicts.
Urgent help on how to correct this is required.

Hz, 14 Mar 2018I got oreo update and it with perfectly in my phone, I am in KSA thank you so much for replying... and i got it to ... but the whats app is consuming more than other apps .. is that ok ? its like 10% of all apps....

Its a good phone in general, but there are 4 MAJOR issues:
1. While on call, the sensor always turn the screen on and you could expect calling any one of your contacts (which could be very embarrassing sometimes), or opening any application.
2. Video loading in gallery is a DISASTER, it takes very long time to load them, and if you have a large number of videos, it could take more than 15 or 20 minutes to load (even for 5 videos it takes some time to load)
3. Opening media in WhatsApp has the same problem.
I don't how a 6-gig RAM device could have such an issue.
4. When you turn off wireless connection, it will automatically re-activate it once it finds a accessible wireless network.
I don't recommend this phone if the above issues matters to you.

Actually I don't have an issue with battery but it's using 3GB of RAM with ALL my apps closed and some apps are lagging or crashing or going slow... Should not have updated...

i regretted buying huawei phone.got alot problem since i bought it.first i bought it got hardware problem after that one to one exchange still got problem after updating to oreo .i experience slow charging and standby hour/days drop from 3days to 1day only.totally disappointed huawei product.if still have problem after sent to service center i planned to sell it

I have tried both these models, but comparing some device who can hold up to the s8+ and saying the s7/edge are better,to me it all goes down to preference. Sure the water and dust resistance might turn heads for samsung in this case, but in terms of battery,phone to user experience,performance, huawei mate 9 pro outperforms the s7/edge and it's equal to s8/+ variant. Sure samsung might have the best screens,but it wont be the best once the pixels start turning black lol, ive had several samsung devices, and the s6edge+ is where i quit having one. The phone eventually will get old and it will lag. Having huawei m9 pro since a year now & there's no lag whatsoever ... I can easily get a day with 35-40% charge only thru facebook,music,instagram,whatsapp,skype and other several things

anyone here using mate 9 pro pls reply why i charge my mate 9 pro from 2 % to 100% takes 1hour 55min?is it normal ?bcz i saw gsmarena said 1hour 30min till full

Have L029 version. I am using the App drawer option because I like just one page of apps on my home page. However, the "Flipboard" news page is permanent on a second page. Cannot get rid of it. I have even uninstalled the flipboard app completely and it still won't let me get rid of the page. Any suggestions.

veegee, 13 Jan 2018While i have not used S8, comparing to Mate 9 Pro, it looks... morewell don't know if it is bad or not but in terms of battery life i get about 5-6 sot,with 4-5 hours of talking and a lot of wifi on,about 16 hours a day i'd say.
