Screens are capable to withstand against scratches from anything with hardness below level 6. Screen covers are not capable to withstand even level 4. They also won't protect you from cracks, as crack usually coming from edges.

The former is a well-defined "hard" wrinkle created by a hard-crease, while the latter is soft wrinkle created by a soft-crease. The soft wrinkle is recoverable while the hard wrinkle is unrecoverable.

When HuaweiMateX folds out, it creates a soft-crease which is fully recoverable when HuaweiMateX folds back, without leaving a hard-crease line(s).
When SamsungFold folds in, it creates a hard-crease with a permanent hard-crease line which is unrecoverable.

Anonymous, 25 Feb 2019Because they try to fit it in a slim body.This i can think to thx, but still a bad match. But again i have power in my mate 20 x for nearly 2½ day and i use it a lot.
So still i think the X will have power enough for a least a day... And thats still okay in my opinion.

Who thinks foldable phones are going share same faith as 3D TVs?
3D TVs were such a buzz but never caught up with the general public. They seem exciting to techies but I don't think general public is going to find the concept reliable.
I have been showing pics of this phone to some of my friends who are less interested in tech (for some weird reason they all use iPhones) they say it's too much.
Foldable smartphones could be the 3D of TVs.

HUAWEI is much more honest. They don't use the tricks to hide it.
It's normal to has wrinkle on these fold screen phones. Same theory with fold a piece of paper.

So it's a downgrade version of Huawei Mate 20 since it's a Huawei Mate X ... Hahaha. I prefer naming it Huawei Fold X ..
