When you spend that much money on a foldable, people tend to expect high end chips. If you're fine with it, go for it. I would be disappointed in getting worse performance than some phones that cost half of it. Also, the battery life is straight up garbage. Yes it is on par with the Tensor G4, but the Pixel 9 Pro Fold has much better battery life and afaik, even that phones battery life is nothing special. Having less performance isn't a deal breaker, when the battery life can make up for it. But with this phone, you get neither advantage. You get worse performance and worse battery life than any other foldable from this generation.

Regardless, the Kirin 9020 in here will deliver sufficient performance for anyone, really. It's not like people wanting to buy a foldable want the best performance there is, as not many people buy foldables just to play extremely demanding games.

PanRT, 25 Dec 2024Why Huawei worst battery life?Due to the lack of an adaptive refresh rate feature, the device may not dynamically adjust its screen refresh rate based on user interaction. For instance, some competing models can reduce the refresh rate to as low as 1Hz when the screen is idle or inactive, thereby conserving power

David 040882, 12 Dec 2024Well, keeping in mind the XT Ultimate is a rather niche dev... moreI'd say neither foldable is worth it. The X6 just can't compete. It's too slow in comparison to others, costs just as much, yet simply gives you less. The XT is interesting but it has similar flaws aswell as an even more absurd price tag. It also is a first gen product, so it probably will have issues eventually, as usual.

I had 2 of them and returned them and now I am back to a regular phone. Completely useless. Their purpose, for now, is for fashion only, not to mention how low their reliability is

In US, even if you gray import from other brands from china, you most likely will miss 5G as they mainly use mmWave 5G.

Anonymous, 13 Dec 2024The internal screen does nothing. Square screens have no us... moreyou don't get it, in videos you get bigger black bars top and bottom, not to the sides like with normal smartphones, thus videos are in fact bigger on a foldable, like when you zoom in to full screen on youtube on a 16:9 video but the video gets cropped top and bottom, on a foldable that is the exact same size but no top and bottom crop. another thing is these are amazing for reading, and there's also multitasking, like watching a video and looking something up at the same time, or scrolling two social media apps at the same time doubling the brainrot input. so if you're a big content consumer(that's not scrolling brainrot) these are actually great.
