AnonD-579955, 03 Sep 2016Guys how do I download the stock ROM which is 4.2 for s8-301l?yh i bricked mine too and have been online seeking for a way to download it stock rom but i still have no clue. Somebody should please help me.

was able to root my 301L using kingroot. installed setcpu and configured cpu to max. btw, i used my unit for gps navigation and to share internet.

been using the phone for 1 year. you will look a bit odd using as a phone has you talk into it. you may at time gave to talk right into the mic.
yes a little lag same time but ok overall.
it a good phone use to trade stockmarket with. big screen very good battrey life.
use it for youtube, basic word and office app. more like a small computer for busnnesss use.
I do have to say it will need 2gb ram. but 1gb is give that little lag at time. but it ok.
I rechage the phone once every 2-3 day(base how you use it).
or 9 hours on youtube. I got 34 app. android 4.2.2.(going not update it). using the eagle version. s8 301L. emui ? cant find it?
You can pick one up under 100 quid.

i have a huawei mediapad M1 8.0 s8-301lv with simcard and there is no firmware update on this device. my device is now very laggy and it only has 1gb RAM and cant install more apps.

There's a WIFI only version s8-301*W*
If you don't have sim card slot then you have the WIFI version,
you can check your device version from settings> about tablet > Build Version. If it says s8-30?W , W is wifi only version
otherwise. open the Plastic cover behind below , where you put the micro sd slot. if there's a slot for the Sim then install it. if no then it's wifi only :) hope this helps

Same happened with me, Everything apps works smoothly but when it comes to 3d games or heavy processing apps keeps Crashing all the time. Tried everything no results. I downgraded it Again to 4.2, you have to do the same if it's important for you :)

anyway. I have s8-301L and I did update it to 4.4.2. searching for your model s8-301U found no kitkat 4.4 roms for it.
you can try to update it using the 301L rom on your responsibility if you hate the phone on that rom.

im 3g model 301U- Why not come with Android 4.4.2 for him? 2014 very weak support from the tablet. I'm really sorry for huawei.im realy sad. One can not help me?
