Certainly the best 7 inch phone or tablet in the world, although it is already two and a half years old. When is a successor coming, Huawei?

Due to rain and moisture build up while staying in my pocket, there was ghost touching problems at the upper part just below ear speaker. I was really bummed because even 2 years later, there is no X3 nor anything else better. The MediaPad T2 7.0 Pro comes close but it's a tad bigger and plastic and a snapdragon 615 which I'm not so sure. So I stopped by the corner phone shop repair and begged the guy to just open up the phone and clean the connectors. He did and charged me 10 dollars and wow, it's fixed.

        Hi Guys,
I have been using this for the last 6 months and X2 I must say is the best device I have used so far. Am waiting for X3. However, the only thing I am disappointed about is that, I am unable to see the 360 degree videos on youtube. I haven't had a response to my mail seeking to know on the Gyroscope. Were any of you able to see 360^0 videos please? If so could you tell what settings need to be tweaked to do so? Thanks in advance for your help.

AnonD-663821, 22 Apr 2017I have a question for Berri. I have the mediapad X2 and hav... moreFirst try micro sd card only to see if it is properly reading. Then you can try both microSD and nano sim card together. I've sanded down the nano sim card just a little with very fine (>500) sand paper with only about 10 rubs. Nano sim card first seats into tray, then microSD on top. When sliding tray into phone, make sure sim card doesn't slide out of alignment, particularly sliding towards outside edge as you are "jamming" the tray into phone. Need to power off/on instead of simple restart for phone to recognize both sim cards and microSD.

I've already done this with 32GB sdcard, then switched to 64GB sdcard, then switched up to 128GB sdcard. After a few harsh phone drops, the micro SD card would sometimes jar out of alignment and need to be reset

Still super happy with my phone, but recently after exposure to rain water, my upper middle touch screen just below ear speaker would start ghost touching. Really upset because I still don't see any new phone that can replace my trusty, so functional 7inch phone. For two years, no new generation model to the X2.

Very good phone to read epub and surf the net, a too small to really read pdf for long. The battery is awsome. Much more than 2 full days if you read and surf all the time. The size is a false issue, you get used very fast to this handset. Also, it is quite robust : mine fell in the stairs and the screen had nothing. Once you get used to a 7" there is no turn back. Any phone for me is 7" or is not considered.

I installed the Nano sim in the upper slot no problem. But the 256 micro sd card will not read.
I also sanded it slightly on that top "bump" inserted it in the bottom slot on the mediapad and it still won't read. What am I doing wrong? Thanks Bill

I've been using this X2 phone since 2015 and I still love it to this very day.

Back in Nov 2015 I very slightly sanded my 2nd sim card, 64GB microSD, and small nub bump in slot entrance. And have been using all 3 (2 sim cards, 1 SD card) together since without a hitch. Jan 2016 upped my SD card to 128GB (sanded down the bump ridge).

In USA T-mobile only get HSPA+ but still good speed such as smooth youtube viewing.

I constantly browse for new phones, but after all these years, this is my best and favorite. You just can't beat the smallest, lightest full 7 inch dual sim phone that fits in my pocket.

People say it is too big for a phone, but they carry a bulky ipad with them.

The Huawei X2 is still the one ring that rules them all. Of course , in my humble opinion.

I bought this phone in the thanksgiving sale. The phone is awesome! I have one question for you guys.
The specs here says there is gyro in Mediapad X2, but i couldnt find it in my GEM-703L. How do i find it please? Also, would like to ask if anyone has seen 360 degrees videos and is working on X2? I tried youtube videos, but my head movement is not detected and hence the 360 videos don't work. Has anybody tried that? Please guide on how to use that on my phone? Thanks

I bought this phone in January of 2016 after a ton of research. It did not disappoint. Fast processing speed, quickest downloads I've ever experienced from a phone, superior audio, fantastically massive 7" screen size and brightness, fits in my jacket pocket or baggy jeans, battery is long lasting, and it has a premium fit and feel. The camera takes great pictures and is good enough in low light. Look, it doesn't run 4G on AT&T, but unlike my old Samsung phone, it doesn't drop calls. It is a heavy phone for holding when on a call, but I mostly use a bluetooth headset so this is usually a non-issue. No fingerprint sensor and no NFC, but I don't want/need those "fad" technologies. Plus, you can transfer files and information through WiFi direct. Huawei did some work for Google on their Nexus and Pixel phones, but this phone is so far ahead of its time. It is a GEM-702L version running on Lollipop and, while I wish Huawei would update this phone to Nougat, it doesn't matter that much. Honestly, I've never had a phone that felt like an extension of my soul...but this phone literally feels that way. I know it's weird but I truly love it. If it ever broke, I would get another on as they are only $373 on ebay right now. There is absolutely no other product out there that can replace it, (Sorry Lenovo Phab 2 Pro but you're just not in the same league - even with Tango). If Huawei ever makes an X3 (PLEASEEEEE) I would snap it up in an instant!

This whole thing is nice and awesome. The only thing i dont like is screen recording. It also record the background sounds instead of the system sound. Landscape screen recording has bugs, it shows successfully recorded but when you open the file it shows blk screen with background sounds only. Hopefully Huawei can do something with this error. Multi-tasking also has to update. Not that users friendly and very limited to some apps only.

The phone is awesome! Great hardware and excellent performance. In the USA you are on your own but if you can manage installing all Google apps, you will be thrilled with this phone. Best phone I've owned!
