Huawei Mate 70 series to have familar camera design, leak reveals

Huawei is working on the Mate 70 devices, and a new leak just revealed what the phones will look loke from the back.

According to a photo that claims to have the camera covers of all the phones, all Huawei Mate 70 versions will have four cameras in a square formation mounted on a circular or octagonal island.

The lineup will include Mate 70, Mate 70 Pro, and Mate 70 Pro+ with a circle, while the Mate 70 RS will be the fanciest device in the lineup. This reminds us of the Mate 50 series, which had the same look.

However, we can see more small cutouts for lasers and sensors, such as color temperature lenses, laser focus, and proximity light sensors. This suggests only the design is staying the same - the cameras are clearly getting bigger and better.

Huawei Mate 50 Pro

Huawei might launch the Mate 70 lineup with a refreshed Kirin chipset, built by SMIC on a 7nm Pro Plus technology. It should have the same 1+3+4 CPU architecture but with more powerful cores developed in-house by the silicon division.

I definitely miss the Mate 50 series camera island a lot. It's great to see it coming back.

I'm a big fan but sorry Huawei, the design looks boring and old. There is nothing in this phone that makes me want to buy it over competition

Too bad the current administration didn't do anything about Huawei!
