Bought Nexus 6p in mid 2016 after reading tons of good reviews online but it died in less than 2 years. The device is still working well albeit the occasional stutter (I don't really mind) but all of a sudden, it shuts down and went into bootlop (kept restarting at the Google screen) so I sent to Huawei service center for repair and according to their engineers and 'official instruction from Huawei', if the device encountered this issue, the motherboard needs to be changed and it cost me RM900+, might as well buy a new device.
Pretty weak life span for a device that was highly raved by reviewers.

my phone become very slow after upgrade to 8.0, is there any s
      olution?

Apart from the battery issue which has been deeply deployed and discussed in this forum with no visible solution am now facing another issue with my Nexus 6p bought in September 2016 : when talking in a phone call the internet signal disappear and back when call hanged up. It's useful to go have a look at your planning stored in OneDrive for any confirmation or reply to a friend guest or customer. Has anyone faced such a problem and if yes has it been solved and how? Thanks

I got this phone in early 2016, and it's the most reliable phone I've ever had in terms of battery life and barely ever randomly shutting off. After 2 years of average use the battery is definitely dwindling. If I'm using a demanding app for half an hour, I'll probably lose 40% of my battery. But with light use, it lasts about 1.5 days most of the time. I've been lucky not to have the boot loop problems. Still wouldn't recommend because of all the problems other people have with this phone.

It's an amazing phone. But sadly the Qualcom SD810 was the worst in the life. On the updates from google the phone goes to the Bootloop of Death. I bought it and I couldn't put Oreo (Android 8) to work, because it loops over and over again.
I had to disable one of the quadcore cpu to restore the Nougat (Android 7.1.2) back to life. I lost days inverted in making it work.

But the CAMERA ufff, wow. This is a camera. The sound, the screen, amazing construction, solid. But Google chosed a horrible cpu and the official updates were a real garbage.

Was a great phone until it wasn't. TONS of issues, NONE addressed by Google though I repeatedly notified them about them through the specified channels. All this long before the phone was even two years old.
              1. Notification volume spontaneously reverted to highest on a regular basis.
              2. Screen timeout continually & spontaneously reverted to 16 seconds.
              3. Phone started bootlooping. Google offered to sell me a new phone. I got it fixed through one click root for $45.
              4. Battery started dying, phone shut off at 40% of battery life.

I junked the phone and got something new. Project Fi was OK service, but the Nexus 6P was bad and Google did not stand behind it.

I have had 4 or 5 Android phones over the years and the only one not working to this day is the newest, the Nexus 6P.

DO NOT buy this phone. Sadly although it was one of the best devices I ever used it is ditching you soon after warranty expires and hundreds of people have faced the bootloop issue as I have. Huawei and Google simply point fingers at each other and service centre asked to pay 20,000 INR to replace motherboard. DO NOT go for any such devices at all where there are two companies involved it always gives them a chance to play a blame game and keep the customer shuttling till he gives up. Shame on Google and Huawei! Do not buy PIXEL or any Huawei or any Google Phone.

I got this device back in December 2016 due to unavailability in my region. I upgraded it immediately to Nougat and it worked perfectly fine. Luckily, I'm one of those users not plagued by the dreaded boot loop. I'm now running 8.1.0 (Oreo) and screen on-time is about 3-4 hours with mixed use (gaming, web browsing, video playback, camera shooting). Idle time is still remarkable, and this phone can get by with a single charge for a full day of light-moderate use most of the time.

I'm just a bit disappointed that I can no longer play AAA mobile games on high settings with smooth framerates like PUBG, but hey, the Snapdragon 810 is already an old processor, and driving a 1440p screen is well above its capabilities when it comes to demanding games. I get that. The device now also shows signs of performance degradation with micro-stutters every now and then, but they're tolerable. I'm still planning to use this device until December of this year, before I upgrade it to hopefully, a Pixel 3.

Purchased my Nexus 6p on March 2016. till now it was working fine. Today suddenly encountered bootloop death. Never expected a flagship phone from a reputed company like this. Owners situation will be terrible after spending a whole month salary for such a flagship phone and finally unexpected death like this.

Battery half-dead after 6 months and trash after one year of heavy use (CPU throttling and 2-3 hours screen-on-time). I know that Snap 810 was quite a dissapointment, but with this level of battery degrading - good device gone total trash.

Battery flakes with time, really badly, and its extremely difficult to replace. I get about 15 minutes of screen time now. Yuck.

My Nexus 6P cannot use Wifi in China. Online info tells that this was due to its special online Wifi verification via a China blocked web site.
