And instead of apkpure you can download from "petal search". Its huawei own app and it downloads apps from multiple sources like apkpure, aptitode etc.

I bought one 3 days ago and i don't regret it at all. It doesn't bother me not having GMS since i was able to install all the apps i needed either from AppGallery or ApkPure.
I bought my wife the Nova 7se and she's also very happy with it.
I hope that Huawei won't put back GMS again in their future devices.
They can achieve more having their own AppGallery and not depending on Google.

It directly downloads app that are not available on huawei app gallery from 3rd party app store that's mainly aptitode, apk pure and it will also help with updates. Check out petal search.

There is an app called petal search that is already installed on all huawei smartphones that searches all apps that are not available in huawei app gallery and its easy to manage try it.
