And how come I'm able to buy a $248 Redmi 10X 5G equipped with the Dimensity 820. I live in the US.
(2) That doesn't matter. A predecessor isn't supposed to have better performance. Period.

2. 5g support and OLED is still arguably an improvement although it's indeed better if they could just put 990

(2) Buddy the Nova 6 had the Kirin 990. This is supposed to be the successor. Use some common sense.
(3) No, 765G phones aren't competition for anything. The faster Dimensity 820 exists in $250 phones. The 765G is a joke. And speaking of the Dimensity 820 found in $250 phones, this is only on par with that.
(4) This phone is terrible. It's not just "bad in any way". It's absolutely awful.

also keep in mind that nova isn't proper flagship, it's competitor is phones with SD765G which still far below K985 (although kirin is cheating with the performance mode). there's indeed some cheap SD865 like poco f2 pro but that's doesn't mean this phone is bad in any way and for what's it worth, huawei bundled this phone with bunch of "free gifts"

Though proper English would be, "How weak is the Kirin 985 in comparison to the Kirin 990?" Notice how much different that is from, "Just really how weak a 985 compared to 990 to be a major concern?"
To answer your question, Kirin 985 equipped devices score about just over 50k less than Kirin 990 5G equipped devices in Antutu. So in other words, not anywhere near top of the line considering the fact that Kirin chips are already far behind Qualcomm and even Mediatek chips.
