Huawei is supposed to be offering the first 5G cell phone by the end of 2023, which works completely without US technologies. This would eliminate another disadvantage of Huawei devices after the US ban.

The price difference between the S22 and Nova Y91 is large. The S22 retails at R18000 in South Africa and the Y91 retails at R7000. If I had to compare price to the S22 with the features this phone has, I am quite happy with this phone then. Especially if the price is 2.5 times the price of this phone. I know comparing a flag ship to a Y91 is not really a contest but the battery life of this phone in a market like South Africa which doesn't have such a large option of cellphones to choose from, this is really a beast to the general population.

I really don't get this large notch screen design. Why not do it like Sony does, with slim bezels? Would look so much better.

Bit unsure because it only comes in 128gb version with no card slot but tbh I just need it as my daily and plan to keep my p50 pro as a second phone and camera phone because I like it a lot but the battery efficiency is utter nonsense on that one. Hi there from the Sunny South Africa. I got this phone for my wife and wow, this is a great phone. The display is fantastic and the stereo speakers sound is amazing. It sounds better than my s22 Ultra. The battery last 4 days with moderate use. The camera is also good with good photos . I am so impressed that I will get this phone when I upgrade.

If it works that well on this phone too it would be good enough for me. I don't even play mobile games just lots of video streaming and spotify + social media/browsing/maps so should be good enough for me. Now to only see if the battery is gonna be as solid as it suggests from the specs.

It doesn't stutter when browsing the screen or in any social media apps
I can also play casual games like mobile legends with ultra settings, call of duty with very high settings but medium fps, genshin impact at low setting & 60fps but you can also set it at high settings but you need to set the render resolution to medium or high

Just bought this phone and i quite love it altho I would have loved a 120hz refresh rate 90hz is fine.. Never thought I would get such a cheap but very good phone
