Huawei P10 prototype and specs spotted online
The Huawei P9 has been enjoying quite a lot of popularity, with sales already exceeding the 9 million mark. Naturally, we can't wait to see what the Chinese OEM has planned for its successor.
The device in question will likely bear the logical P10 moniker and was spotted on Chinese social network Weibo today in the flesh. The pair of shots of what appears to be an early prototype prove an ongoing hunch, that Huawei will go for a front-mounted fingerprint reader this time around. That definitely seems to be the case. We are also happy to see that the signature dual-camera setup of the P9 appears to be carried over. Powered by Leica tech, it combines a color and a monochrome shooter for some interesting effects and better overall low-light performance.
Luckily enough, today's leak also comes complete with a set of suggested hardware specs for the Huawei P10. The phone will likely have a 5.5-inch panel, with QHD resolution. Under the hood, we expect to see the company's own Kirin 960 SoC, along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of on-board storage. A higher tier model with a 6GB, plus 128GB setup is also suggested.
