After using the P20 , I regret buying it a lot ! Worst phone I ever had and why do I say this ? Because first comes the super annoying auto dimming that all Huawei are suffering from and they never , ever fixed it , second the GPU is horrible in games , it's the worst GPU I have ever seen in 10 years since I am using smartphones , third the OS is very inconsistent , it works perfect now and then stutters for no reason , it behaves like a very low end phone , forth is the horrible quality of the video and it's super bad in 4K . Regret every single second when I decided to buy this garbage phone ! I sold the Note 8 for this and it's the worst decision possible ! So for the future buyers go and watch Damir Franc on youtube and you will see the bare truth about P20 and P20 Pro which all the other youtubers never tell you about and lie that it's one of the best phones when actually they are one of the worst phones possible , totally not a flagship experience it's rather a low end experience.

AnonD-705533, 04 May 2018I actually owned all of them because I'm a private smartpho... moreI didnt played,i really had and have Huawei,Sony,Htc,Alcatel,Lg,Samsung,Nokia,Siemens etc phones,even old sony ericcson with cybershot csmeras and xenon flash.This is the first android camera that stand close to cybershot sony cameras(its now available only on Sony digital cameras)- u said photos are oversaturated- no they are not- its the screen that has vivid colors(that i really love!)- so the photos look vivid too- if u transfer them to a phone,pc,that doesnt have saturated colors- photos wont be saturatrd(already tested it) but they will still be goid(unlike samsungs that look bad when there is no amoled screen)- anyway both camera and phone are great! Someone said Huawei phones overheats- this my first android that doesnt heat at all! Maby if u play heavy games for longer(i didnt)- but thats where every android phone heats more or less.

There are some parts thats samsung produce,some chips,but thats also like Sony produce sensors for cameras on Samsung,Iphone,Lg,etc,so u didnt understand that nice.

Pixel 2 got 99% right? Not on my opinion. Its good, but P20 better. U not usually take night photos because scare to admit P20 low light photos unbeatable? Yeah rite, go trolling somewhere else.

mir, 04 May 2018Wow. You sure like to imagine that you own that many phones... moreI actually owned all of them because I'm a private smartphone re-seller :). This is the reason why I had and have many of them. Also I can play with phones for the I want to. I decide when it's enough and time to sell it or... whether it's worth to keep it. So... P20 went down the sale. NOT WORTH TO KEEP IT :). Regarding the modes, I do not like to hassle around them, switch between them often for whatever reason. I just want to pick up my phone, shot straight away and get the best possible result in 99% cases. And this is where Pixel 2 really shines! Don't have time and aspiration to tweak photos in editors on computer either.
P20 pro / manual photo mode produces underexposed, dark, "grey" pictures all the time. Auto mode makes hugely oversaturated, overcontrasted pictures, very often with boosted up particular colors. And I clearly see lack of details in both modes in comparison to Pixel 2, horrible chromatic aberrations on tree branches etc etc. Just zoom a little bit any picture taken from P20 on PC and you will see... It all would be quite okay if Huawei haven't positioned this phone as the revolutionary best cameraphone on the market and haven't asked more than NZ$500 for it. So...my NO to P20!

And you obviously haven't owned nor tried a flagship huawei because those produce really good shots in Pro mode. They may not be the best at full auto, but they can capture brilliant images of you know how to use them. And you would see that if you had actually OWNED one in the first place.

Look, I can give you dozens more reviews showing that P20 Pro camera is just a fuss. And I'll say it again, Pixel 2 with "just" one camera does better job in 99% situations. Finally, low light photography is the last thing I consider when I buy a new phone. I make tons of photos, I like to do that but the number of evening / night shots I take is like a drop in a bucket. I'm not a lunatic or just night life is not my thing, sorry.

End the debate please. Every Pixel 2 low light pictures got blown out highlights and blurry mess where P20 preserve it in a good way.
P20 low lights camera phone is unbeatable!

ltiatim , 01 May 2018what are you talking about ¿?¿? china's phone... moreAs I told before, I had Pixel, Pixel 2, Pixel 2X, Nexus 6P, Galaxy S8, Huawei P20, Huawei Mate 10 all at the same time. I can say with full confidence that the latest Huawei P20 can offer nothing but nice design blatantly copied from iPhone X. That's it. End of story. And again, P20 camera is just disappointment, nothing else. I still keep S8, Nexus 6P (backup phone), use Pixel 2 for now. Very happy that have managed to get rid of P20 with minimal losses. I admit that Chinese phones can have quality hardware, materials and design. But software / OS side is always full of bugs and other annoying crap and clearly loose to Samsung. So I'm planning to get S9 US version soon. Pretty sure that P20 / P20 Pro are not anywhere around it in all aspects.
