I got one of this used for cheap to be used as a digital camera. The phone very satisfactory as a camera even against newer phones and very great night shots as well. Some cons is it wasn't so much suitable for heavy gaming, and a few months after using it the screen develop purple spots that grew worse so much that I had to replace it with a cheap oem screen but it still works fine and even better coz the oem screen does not consumes much battery
Another thing to note is if possible don't let the battery go down under 30% cos it tends to shutdown esp at load or overheat. But other than that the phone still works fine.

I have been using P20 Pro for 5 years now. Although it seems like an old phone now, it still just does everything I need. I am not a gamer, not into so much demanding applications from beginning so it is still doing the job for me.
Battery life has been excellent, nowadays is decent. The battery ends with 15-20% after heavy usage like surfing online, screen is on for 5-6 hours.
Camera quality can still compete with high end phones nowadays thanks to Leica lens.
Overall it is still good phone to me. There is one exception though: The phone sometimes freezes, requiring restart. It seems to me this occurs while the processors have to do a lot work, heating the device, then it may freeze. This is disappointing because I still like to use this phone. Recently, the phone froze and did not switch on for about 3 hours, which made me worry the data could have been lost. This was the time I started to consider replacing my P20 Pro. Still using though, for now.

I a have a Mate 20 Pro which was released a bit later but the battery life is similar to your P20 Pro. Standby is weak compared to a brand new phone and if I use it continuously for a while the battery drains quite fast. Otherwise it is great, the processor works like on the first day and software has no lag or any bugs. I guess the battery might be the issue.

i just bought this yesterday as used phone i dont know if i should get a battery replacement as it barely holds 80 percent in 2 to 3 hours overall every other thing is fine apart from the battery issue

Overall the phone in 2024 is good. It has solid performances, but it has bad battery. I replace battery, and now phone is working much better, so if you want a solid phone for 70 euros buy it.

It drains a bit faster on WiFi... But that depends on the overall settings and how heavy you use the phone, of course... I don't do gaming and not much social media, but listening tons of music, which is one of the reasons why I bought that thing (superior audio qualities on Bluetooth or with my DAC + wired headset attached)

Is good Phone but on 2024 is mid, battery is ok but camra now is not the Best. Also weak CPU. I got only 300k on antutu. I got it for free in bad shape (cracked back Glass, small crack on front and A LOT straches)
If you want buy this in 2024 is okay but not the Best choice
