Genuinely one of the best phones ever. I've had it since it came out in 2018 and im so impressed with how well it has handled the abuse ive put it through. (I dropped it so much, broken so many sreen protectors, scratched the sh## out of the back cameras but it still takes good pictures after i clean it). I do have to charge it every day but I use it for most of the day by constantly listening to music/watching yt. Great phone, Im so sad the software support ended and I have to upgrade, the new phones dont seem as good as this was not only for its time but now too.

This phone is something else, man. My dad used it for three years and then passed it on to me. I used it for a year before switching to a Galaxy A52. I quickly realized my mistake and went back to the P20 Pro. I still use it and it works perfectly fine — still looks sleek, too. I have to charge it twice a day, but that’s acceptable for a 7-year-old battery. Honestly, I think this is the most beautiful phone design of the decade. Now I’m switching to the OP13. I hope it will at least have half the durability of the P20 Pro.

I have been using this phone since the beginning of 2019, completely original without changing the battery or anything, and even with its original version of Android 8.1, everything works perfectly. The battery doesn't last as long as before but at rest the percentage almost doesn't drop. Best phone I ever had, I went to a regular S22 and back to this one. I'm thinking of upgrading to a Vivo X300 but I'm afraid of regretting it

Anonymous, 20 Apr 2025Mine to what's would be the problem and solution? If you have minimum ram over 8gb then that could be the reason for restart or last update messed up the Os.

I have Samsung J6+ with 3GB and had similar problem when battery is under 20% or when is something wrong with the phone

Been using this phone since release, all original parts still. It has started to slow down a bit, but it has been an incredible phone, and all in all still runs good!

Only reason I'm starting to scout for a new phone is due to some apps (bank apps and ID app) no longer being supported on the phone and android version.

A good battery life with 8hrs screen usage

Peter, 26 Jul 2025Still using with original batteryLiterally me. Tried P30 Pro, came back to this. Tried a few Pixels, came back to this. Tried a few Motos, came back to this. Broke the screen, fixed it, still using it. Battery is not like it used to be, but with a few tweaks and normal usage its still way over a day. Separate fingerprint reader is faster than any optimal reader, CPU is still fast, coverage is great, cameras are fine, love the size...I think we have peaked here guys.

Mine is 7 years old and dropped several times too, once on concrete. Don't know if it's because it's a high end phone, or that Huawei just is a solid brand.
