Im trying to ... moreI am very strict about my phone choice - p20 pro offers exceptional camera in the mobile industry (thanks to cooperation with Leica) and 4000 mah battery. Don't get me wrong, I love my Note 8 - I am usually shifting to new phones every 3 months. With Note8 I lasted 7 months which is a lot for me. Although because P20 Pro is getting postponed for May in UK, I am going to cancel my preorder, get Pixel 2 XL. Once they release p20 pro I might get back to it and try it out.
Still the best phone of 2018 you are going to get. I am about to check closely p20 because it is still scheduled for 6th of April (Pro for May).
One thing about Samsung that made me not feel 100% about it is their software.
Stock android (like in Pixels) is the way forward.

Without that notch shoudl be a best flagship of 2018.
Samsung did many rework in their phone and is only half as good as Huawei for a 150 eur highher price.

SD845 which many other brands have?
Samsung have nothing to copy apart from a very high resistible price XD.

The camera bump in the pictures is small, yes. But if you look at it in real life, the camera bump is huge. This is just pure false advertising from Huawei

If you shoot RAW, then expect files to go as much as 50-70MB PER FILE. So work from there. If you shoot timelapses and you shoot RAW then expect to run out of space in a few hours

Know it's crystal clear for you and every one that the p20 pro is the best.

Seems like everyone complaining about the ugly notch lah, no SD card just build in storage 128G lah, no jack plug lah, back camera position ugly lahh...Deyyy...Then why people still buy an iphone X then? All the features above is in the iphone also. So what's the different? If you have less money, go for Huawei P20 Pro. If you have a lot of money, then go for iphone X..Almost 90% same features, but difference prices..

You are right !If you wanna buy a flagship item, I mean high end means state of the art, you should possess the character of being on that level because if you just buy it because its popular and you want to show to the people you are up to date, you may end banging your head on the concrete wall. These phone is built for silicon individual not for rock people. So, before picking up, know your limits and capability because you may end up knowing that your gadget is much much smarter than you. Buy Nokia 3310 straight forward. My simple tips: 1. Learn first the science of photography. 2. Learn about storage, NAS, RAID, EMMC, UFS, Cloud services 3. Basically you should be very proficient with computers/Mac 4. 24 hours internet connection every day, 7 days a week, 30 days a month, 12 month a year. and this is very important because without internet, its practical to use nokia 3310. Cheers.
