Okay. About Huawei P30 Lite is a quite unique phone. I am from India and thus have the model MAR LX2 (Singapore).

So Huawei P30 Lite is pretty unique interms of that the entire marketing and promos for this phone was done for the UK model touting 48 MP as the 1/3 rear cams and 24 MP as Selfie cam. However, in the East Asian markets, a different config was released with 24 MP as the 1/3 rear cams and 32 MP as selfie cam. How nice it would have been that company could ship a consistent product without playing with the configuration. Leaves a sour taste in mouth for sure.

Anyway, besides calling, i use my phone for camera so i would be sticking out to that only. Operational side, the granular controls that Huawei provides are by far the best in the industry no doubt. Maybe the hardwqare side is good too. Image processing algorithms however, doesnt quite justify the "P Series" monicker.

HDR for one is really dud and blown out for P30 Lite. Its like if you capture an image, make sure to capture as much colors as possible from the camera itself. Once you are going to import the photo to Lightroom or VSCO, I am afraid you will hardly get anything to play with. Compared to Huawei P30 only and not the Pro version, while there is a huge amount of information captured that can be processed in Lightroom, Heavy Lightroom adjustments will just look like a few filters applied to the original pic. Besides, its the 24 MP version here with me so downsized samples are basically 8 MP ones.

Apart from this it feels like so many other decent mid range devices. But i am a high ly fan of this phone in terms of its Sturdy Quotient. I have just got the out of the box screen guard on the screen and have since droppedit so many times. But no scratches baby am thrilled. Ideal phone for people having busy outdoor occupations.

I play Jurassic World Alive and Call of Duty and after sometime they seem to lag a little bit. Phone is just 5 months old.

Samsung A50 although snaps apparently cooler pictures than P30 Lite but lack of granular camera controls on main cam is a hinderance for an eager amateur in me.
