A great phone except for the camera, it is great for photographs using the zoom or for taking pictures of the moon or pictures in dark rooms but due to its unusual colour configuration to gain light sensitivity, colours are often incorrectly rendered and anything towards the sun or towards a bright light source will look nothing like you see through the viewfinder which is truly frustrating.
Since the battery life and camera were the main reason for buying this phone, finding the camera not living up to expectation severely disappointed me.
Also when I received the phone, the camera had a resolution setting option, so you could take the size of picture you required, this function was removed during an update and never reinstated again, as a photographer this was truly infuriating.
Battery life is stellar 2-4 days - GT2 watch works brilliantly with it.

Looks like the official word is you can no longer down grade back to an earlier version of EMUI. Battery life has declined further sharply since my last post to the point that the phone only lasts half a day on idle. Have absolutely no idea what I did to ruin the battery. Will try to claim under my country’s CGA given the cost of the phone and the useable lifespan/lifetine of an integrated battery should last longer than just a couple of years. Will otherwise move to ditch this phone. Going to make sure Android updates are completely disabled on my next phone.

Still loving mine. If yours is running slow you do not need to reset, just get killapps from the playstore and run it, you will be surprised how many apps are autostarting in the background after so many years.

This is still the beast phone of Huawei. Google is still up and kicking! I'm running the latest Emui 12 and it's very smooth so far!

does 256 gig model have 12 gig ram? I bought p30 pro when it released and paid a monthly installment, i have 256 gig model and when I got on antutu benchmark, it says 8 gigs of ram used, 4 gig avaliable
is this glitch or actual 12 gb ram?

I have contacted huaewi officials in Pakistan. They said your device in not officially launched in pakitan.
