The worst phone option on the market in this price range. The latest update that has affected photo features has reduced camera performance far below the brand's direct competitors. Unfortunately, the remedy of this problem has been delayed for months, so I can not recommend this product because it would be a great injustice to pay such amounts on a phone whose performance is far below what the manufacturer promises.

Hey, I am thinking to buy this phone and worried about camera after 10.1 update. Is it working fine? I Heard camera is ruined and sharpness is lost!
Also, in reviews I felt like there's yellow- green tint in pictures especially in night mode and close up shots. Is it still there? My other option is samsung s20+ . Should I take that instead? Thanks in advance!

The Huawei P30 pro is a great choice because:
It has the best cameras for the money. This is because it is over a year old but when it came out it had arguably the best cellphone camera ever. The phone was built for that camera setup, to be the best camera phone in the world.
5x zoom which goes up to 50x digital zoom but digital zoom is cheating. Mind-blowing low light photos, (you can even photograph stars). Optical stabilisation and a TOF camera (read it can tell exactly how far away things are from the phone, through magic), great for focusing perfectly. Beautiful macro photos.
It is one of the last Huawei phones with Google services.
It may not get a lot of software updates in future but will still get at least one more.
It is waterproof enough to survive a lot (puddles, loos, beer mugs) and with a good phone case it will survive a few tumbles in the mud as well.
The battery is amazing! It lasts ages and charges super fast. Just the battery has changed my life.
Beautiful colours to choose from.
Cons: may not fit in your pocket. But the big screen is beautiful.
May be hard to buy these days
A bit old and Huawei may not update the software again next year.
No earphone jack
Needs case to protect it from falls and to stop the camera lenses from getting scratched

Hey guys. I'm still in emui 9.1. Should I upgrade to Emui 10.1. Read a lot about camera is worse and other stuff.. Not sure about upgrading. Right now it's still running perfectly!

I've experienced the same with my 2 days old Samsung S8 when it was released. I was cleaning the screen & it fell flat from my lap while I was sitting & the screen shattered completely so I know the pain you're going through. As far as my P30 Pro is concerned I've a tempered glass on with a case that almost covers the edges.

How is your curved screen?
I cracked mine this week, when my phone fall from tripod to the kitchen sink. I find it shocking, as it was only 75cm fall... Embarrassing Huawei, especially that phone was in the case. New screen costs now £192+labour.
I had my previous Huawei Mate 10 Pro for 2 years and screen is still okay, but P30 Pro got damaged after one month of ownership. Curved screen was my main concern when upgrading and it looks like I was right.
Am I unlucky or there is more cracked screens?
