I've experienced the same with my 2 days old Samsung S8 when it was released. I was cleaning the screen & it fell flat from my lap while I was sitting & the screen shattered completely so I know the pain you're going through. As far as my P30 Pro is concerned I've a tempered glass on with a case that almost covers the edges.

      How is your curved screen?
      I cracked mine this week, when my phone fall from tripod to the kitchen sink. I find it shocking, as it was only 75cm fall... Embarrassing Huawei, especially that phone was in the case. New screen costs now £192+labour.
      I had my previous Huawei Mate 10 Pro for 2 years and screen is still okay, but P30 Pro got damaged after one month of ownership. Curved screen was my main concern when upgrading and it looks like I was right.
      Am I unlucky or there is more cracked screens?

Using this beast for over 8 months now & the pleasure of using it is simply awesome, it's still as good as new & the cameras & battery life both are solid

                                  ZDT, 22 Sep 2020Is it still a good buy for next year?Depends on the price.i dont know if its gonna receive software updates after two years but im sure it's gonna be supported for at least 2 more years.
                                  Software /Hardware wise there is nothing to complain about. Still extremely fast with zero issues and great battery life. The camera is still one of the best.
                                  All in all i think you'll not gonna regret buying it.
                                  But again, only if the price is right.
