      There's something bad that the display of P40 is produced by BoE, so the sub-pixel array is bad and the ppi is lower than the screen that produced by samsung or lg.

        Anonymous, 28 Mar 2020Still 22.5w charge? Its not 40w?is a brand new 22.5w charger that the spec is 10V/2.25A, it's 5V/4.5A before. But I don't think there's some substantive improvement.

Yes , the word flagship does get bandied about very easily these days mate , i`m guessing it probably has the in display speaker like the P30 pro (and probably other Huawei devices)for phone calls and bottom firing speaker for media .
                No proper stereo speakers if that is the case is a big downer imo .
                i have the P30 pro , and in some circumstances the bottom speaker is adequate , in others it is a bit low rent imo , taking phone calls in an area like a shopping centre with back ground noise is just not good in my experience .
                Once bitten .....
                These phone makers seem to get on trend of just improving certain areas and forget other areas .


                  Hold on a minute, I thought the main 50MP camera didn't have OIS like any vanilla P or Mate series phone? Definitely a surprise to see OIS is present in the cheapest variant, unlike the Mate 30 or P30.

                              Disappointing and absolutely pointless device. Telephoto and ultrawide cameras are same as in my P30. No 3.5 mm jack. No IP68 protection. No USB-PD charging. Ugly disproportional front camera hole. Better to be round and on right side. Still as big as P30. They didn't improve ergonomics. iPhone 11 and Galaxy S20 are more compact. S20 is 69 mm wide, which is much better for one hand usage.

                              No a single reason for me to switch to P40 from P30 at all.

                                So no 3.5mm jack, still too big for a proper compact, no FM radio and all for a tempting price of £WTF. Seriously missed a trick here.

                                    In Amazon and especially eBay you can find crazy deals for LG's flagships. There's a seller called "yywireless" which sells the LGs for jaw-dropping prices. One of my friends bought a G8 from them for $190 and it totally looked like new!
                                    Trust me, buying an LG flagship is like buying a Phone/DAP. You'll have a premium flagship phone that sounds as good as $200-$300 DAPs.

                                      With GMS it would be best flagship at reasonable price: FLAT SCREEN, 5G, telephoto, main rear 50MP with biggest sensor, USB 3.1 for desktop mode (S20, Mi 10 are much worse). Unfortunately without GMS it's not worth even half that price.

                                        Same problem as P30 with same RYYB sensor replacing green pixel with yellow pixel : yellowish pictures even in day time....bad
