Good day. I've had the p8, p10, p20 & p30.
The P40 is by far the worst phone of them all. Can't download the YouTube app, Can't run clash of clans, can use Google maps, Can't search people or pages on Facebook, it says I need to download the new version. When I try to do it is says not available.. Cause the dam phone is not Google play service supported. So HUAWEI will never see me again.
I'm due for upgrade next month so Samsung here I come

It's a great mid range-phone for that price. Not too big, not too heavy, very fast, very good camera. Not everybody needs 200 apps from the Google Play Store. A lot of people are happy with just the 15-20 basic apps. And you can get them easily on this phone too.

Are u sure u own P40? Do you just post on the wrong thread? Seems like it is.

This is the worse phone I have ever bought. £200.00, and can’t access messages sent to me by the hospital, as it is not supported by google. This was not mentioned in the specs, when I bought it in January. I really loved my p20 lite, but this is no use at all. The camera is not up to much either. Never buying another one again.

As for P30 Pro, its hard to say no as well, better telephoto & has GMS.

on huawei site it says the 50mp is just f1.9 with no OIS, but here it says the 50mp with OIS, want to know if it has OIS or not? And should i choose P40 over P30 Pro? thanks

P40 updated a lot on the core aspect, especially in performance & camera. U should compare it with vanilla P20, not the P20 Pro.

Sam799, 06 May 2021In my country the P40 & Mate 30 Pro are almost at the s... moreI'm in the same boot before...but the compactness of P40 attracts me & I bought it over Mate 30 Pro (cheaper as well). The huge curved edge screen + no volume rocker is a big letdown on Mate 30 Pro.
But lets not forget Mate 30 Pro advantage are better UWA camera + 7680fps slow-mo, IP68, IR blaster, faster charging + wireless charging & a more point & shoot camera like rear design...
