Sounds unfair for me to pay more to get less resolution at same zoom level. Seems even non sense, unless there is a trick to get a 12MP by combining the 50 and 8 into something that could produce a 12MP image?

optical ZOOM comparison S20 48mp x (4x4) = 768
P40 pro+ 8mp x (10x10) = 800
and P40 ISO High 8mp x 3x fixed optical is 409600

Anonymous, 31 Mar 20204200mah battery, too small for 2020I had Mate 20 Pro and it has the same size battery. It could last litteraly whole day even if you are using it all day. I didnt use it every time of the day and it could last day and a half.

Something I don't get with the P40 PRO+. If I choose a zoom of 5X for example, will I get a 8MP image resolution in return, or will the device be able to somehow produce an image equivalent to 12MP with some magic algorithm? If it is an 8MP indeed, then what I don't understand, is why one shall pay more for the p40 PRO+ when the P40 PRO can produce a 5X 12MP image resolution indeed? This 8MP sensors choice is unclear to me. I'm sure someone here might have a meaningful answer? Thanks in advance!
