With all its news, not so spectacular, compared to the P30 Pro, the new P40 Pro Plus disappoints, at: the screen size (6.58 inches, the same as the P40 Pro, would have gone 6.68 or 6.78 inches); lower screen resolution, less than 2K (or, QHD), HDR 10 and not HDR 10+; RAM of only 8 GB, at internal UFS 3.0 memory of 512 GB (!); rear telephoto camera (out of 5) of the same 8 MP, at the same as last year; a single physical speaker (Mate 20 X 4G or 5G have two, with Dolby Atmos effect), 2 slots for eSIM + NanoMemory cards (instead of 3), battery only 4200 mAh (it could have at least 4500 mAh). Compared to Huawei P40 Pro, the differences of P40 Pro Plus are very small, but the price is high (+400 €, compared to P40 Pro). There are, therefore, disadvantages which, compared to the other competing giants (Samsung, Apple or Xiaomi), place the 3 models of the P40 series of 2020 around them. If we add that Huawei is stubborn to maintain the Android 10 operating system, following the sanctions received from the USA, the future of this Chinese brand does not sound too good. The rescue, perhaps, will come with the launch of Mate 40 Pro in the fall. We will see...

A bit disappointed on the cut out display Huawei chose. This is the tech that Samsung used much earlier. Where is your full view display? Water drop or teardrop look even better to my taste. Shame
