It an be done but play protect stops you from signing in in some cases and if you are lucky you can register your device but it doesn't always work

      If you have GMS installed. Does it work reliably? For a long time or does it break down after every firmwear update etc.

                  Unfortunately, with the new firmware (.156) no method currently works with p40 pro to install the GMS...Unless you are willing to hack the HiSuite and downgrade your phone to an earlier version of firmware.

                    In fact everything with Google dependency works. You just need the specific Emui version to install it and after that it's all pretty much fine. Gmail, photos, chrome bookmarks and more are okay

                                Good optics But raw files have serious issues. Opening raw files in Lightroom or Photoshop, images are green and the tint is at +150 so you cannot fix it. Also zoom in Pro mode works only in 3 positions, ultra wide, x1 and x5. Huge disappointment from a phone that claims to be top in photography.

So, you won't be able to get personalised content. Also, navigation works normally in Google maps. YT- I use YT Vanced. Whatsapp works, you can download it from official Whatsapp site. I don't use Fb so I don't know, but I guess it works normally. In Croatia, all banking apps are in App Gallery. Google keyboard works normally, I use it because I don't like Swiftkey.
                                  Anyway, Gmail app don't work (I use Outlook and can log in eith my Google account there), Google pay doesn't work.
