A phone which can't run important apps without play services can't be considered best phone of the year, especially when it's sporting last year's chipset.
Oppo Find X2 Pro is the best all round phone in the first half of 2020.
I doubt anything else would beat that phone in later part of 2020. Maybe the Galaxy Note 20.

At 1000 Euro, this phone is a little under-priced for the EU market. In terms of design, build-quality, technology, I see no competition from any other 2020 phones other than 'P40 Pro Plus'.
For the first half of 2020:
P40 Pro Plus: best smartphone;
P40 Pro: 2nd best smartphone;
Oppo Find X2 Pro: 3rd best smartphone.

No official GMS a no go. Somemore Huawei phone tends to devalue quite fast. Example is I can snap a P30 Pro for about USD580 in my country. And it's only a year phone with great spec, or Mate 20 Pro with USD400...Just my opinion.

Because Huawei can grow in China, why not world wide,just they need time.

Also all companies wants you to buy their top tier device so they water down alittle the others in the lineup.

Bootloader locked and unlockable ( unless they decide otherwise later, you could root or install lineage os and have gplay)
This phone pretty much is a big spy on your data, apps from their servers, phone os is theirs, better buy S20 lineup...

JAJI, 26 Mar 2020i want to buy the phone Exactly, phone has excelent hardware, which is out of this world, paired with kirin 990 and awesome quad camera. It is one of the most desirable phones out there.
