                  captain fokou, 08 Aug 2021You are the first person who complains about p40 pro camera... morebcoz no one went from Huawei to Xiaomi and back, once Huawei and you stay Huawei, except i needed my banking app that could not work without google services, that is why i went xiaomi;
                  and after i bought the P40Pro the pic quality was worse than on my Xiaomi phone - and it does remain that way, and few weeks later i broke the screen on the P40Pro while tying my shoes, it literally fell from less than 20cm and the screen cracked.....i can't tell how many times i dropped my Mate10Pro and it only got few scratches;
                  ....yea, so with the P40 Pro taking worse pics, but being an awesome phone anyway, i needed a new phone that could potentially take pics at least as good as the Xiaomi MiNote10....so i got myself the Samsung S20Ultra, just to realize it doesn't take that awesome pics (got fixed after few updates), however the S20Ultra and other S20 series are a failure, each time i get an update that fixed something that didn't work, something else stopped working;
                  S20Ultra has nice hardware except from the fingerprint sensor, but the software is terrible, makes the phone to a junk that takes awesome pics just as the Xiaomi, except Xiaomi is slower, but the software never failed me as much as on the Samsung. Not to mention that unlocking on the miNote10 works like 95 times out of 100, on teh S20Ultra i would be happy is it ulocked 50 times out of 100, but it doesn't. The P40Pro unlocks 99 times out of 100, if not 100/100.

                      captain fokou, 08 Aug 2021I would very much want to argue with you and prove you wron... morei probably should explain what i mean with 'zoom in' , i mean on the pics while checking them out on a PC, not the zoom lens, who would use zoom at night?

                      so yea, you can take a 108MP pic with the MiNote10 and zoom in on the pic* , you will get much more details than from P40Pro and some more than S20Ultra;

                      as for the picture quality, MiNote10 was excellent at day pics from day 1, that was back in 2019, there was that prob with huge file size, the pics had about 50MB/file and the delay between taking pics was somewhere close to 5~7seconds;
                      they fixed it somewhat and in December 2019 i could take nice pics at night in the pro mode, now somewhere close to January 2020 it started to take nice pics at night in automatic mode, still pro mode beats it and it beats all other phones;

                      now back to P40Pro and why the pics are terrible, first of all the pics at day can't compare to a twice as big resolution from the S20ultra and MiNote10, secondly the colors are sometimes so far away from what i can see with my own eyes, that it's ridiculous - P40Pro produces pics with fake colors;

                      S20Ultra? yea, it took horrible pics at first, i think it took like 5months untill some of the updates fixed that, and with each update teh pic quality came closer to what MiNote10 did ever since 2019....it is sad that a phone twice as expensive was that bad;
                      today the S20Ultra has some few moments where MiNote10 still takes better pics, like on the sunrise or twilight, but if you take few pics with the S20Ultra, then at least 1/3 will be able to compete with MiNote10, and at day almost all will be as good as MiNote10;

                      S20Ultra in auto mode with the very small resolution produces the best pics at night, of course they are not zoom-able, but for social media they are perfect, while other phones can't get over the bright lights of the cars or street lights at night, the S20Ultra in auto mode does this awesomely

                        Also their is no point arguing with you while you say the mi note 10 with an 8mp 3.7x zoom tele beats the s20 ultra with a 4x 48mp tele.

                        It's also rediculous to say xiaomi gets better night time photos with a smaller RGGB sensor the the huawei with the big RYYB sensor and the superior camera software.

                        Almost every reviewer who compared the mi note 10 with the p30 pro said it's not even close at night.

                        You and maybe 5 other people believe the s20 ultra was better at photography than the the p40 pro.

                        You are either biased, hater or you don't remember well.

                        Just to be clear I have tried both the p40 pro and s20 ultra from family members and friends.

                          it's true that P40Pro can take pics at night that look as if they were taken at day, but only very close range, if you take a pic of a city at night you will throw the P40Pro against the closes tree.
                          At night the S20Ultra takes the best pics of all phones i ever owned, you can not zoom in as much as on the MiNote10, but the contrast and white balance is superior.

                          I need to mention, P40Pro in its best mode needs at least 2seconds to take a pic, regardless if it's day or night, S20Ultra takes pics always instantly at day, and may take 2sec at night, MiNote10 will have a delay if pics taken with best quality, and same as Samsung it needs some 2sec at night.

                          of all of those 3 phones, MiNote10 will make pics with best or same quality as S20Ultra, but with the smallest file size, for example at day + full resolution for all phones
                          same scene, P40pro ~14MB , S20Ultra ~27MB and MiNote10 ~19MB;
                          twice as many pixels on the MiNote10 but not the twice file size compare to P40Pro.

                                        Just be careful, plenty of FAKE "p48 pro" phones on the market, sells on Wish.com, AliExpress and eBay!! The parameters are "faked" into fooling the buyer by selling as "cheap phone" .its EXACTLY as the picture of this phone, with android 4.4.2 KiKat - so watch out! you may have a fake in your pocket
