I have this phone since 2022 and it is pretty good. Bought it for about 450 euros back then because it was cheaper without google. Almost all apps that I need work, including banking apps. Great camera, good gaming performance. 100x zoom camera is great to have. I can play games like Pubg without lag. Snapdragon 888 is still very capable today. Only the battery life is not as good as I bought it. Even without google I have been receiving monthly security patches, last one now in January. Nowadays you can even get it for 350-400 euros as second hand phone from retail shops.

Daolwwb, 26 Dec 2024Does the Kirin 9000 version has issues with 2.4Ghz wifi?That issuse is gone whith new software update EMUI 14.1. They fix that bug, and its work normally

I have mine with SD888, battery is fine not spectacular.

Such a drain with the battery life it never happens to me. My p50 pro battery life its 86% since the emui 13 it stop to fall.Also it take 5-6 hours full use i am heavy user, using apps like genshin impact, tik tok, pubg, instagram.

Sam799, 17 Oct 2024How many updates (if any) will this phone get in the future?I have the phone it take 2 software updates it started with emui 12 then it updated to 13 and now it run the 14.2 EMUI which is the latest version even Pura 70 ultra have the same software version. About security updates are 5 years.

Anyone having a problem with the camera when recording? Is it normal for the picture to shake a bit at 1080p and 60fps? When I enter the camera from the app, this does not happen, the recording is normal

Anyone encounter battery draining problem with their p50 pro sd 888 variant? Mine were just ridiculously drain, it's been 2 weeks and the battery continue to drain fast especially when idle. I go to sleep at 1.18 am with 90% battery and when I woke up at 6.30 am the battery at 72%. There's day when I go to sleep with battery between 20-25% and the next morning the phone is dead. I've tried everything included factory reset, set all apps to auto manage, update software and enable battery optimization for all apps. I'm using the same apps in my last mate 40 pro and it didn't have any problem even many apps are disabled for battery optimization. The battery health shows 99% for my p50 pro while 88% for the mate 40 pro, the mate 40 pro outlast my p50 pro by miles.
