the snapdragon 888 may have better thermal head room with the exclusion of the 5g modem, hope the graphene and huawei software can do better than most 888 devices out there

Mi 11 Ultra, S21 Ultra, and Vivo X60 Pro Plus finally are gonna get bested in the camera department. Huawei P50 Pro may have
1. better, wider selfies.
2. Better lowlight thanks to monochrome sensor and large main sensor
3. Better zoom flexibility thanks to high resolution 64 MP tele that can zoom from 3.9X to 11.7X with minimal quality loss (S21 allows users to zoom from 1X to 3X lossless with their 64 MP, so Huawei may allow from 3.9X to 10X losslessly too)
4. Maybe an better ultrawide cam? I don't knoww about the sensor yet. But ultrawide king now is still Vivo X60 Pro Plus thanks to the gimbal that allows for night vision ultrawide cam.
5. Also, Huawei's image processing is better than Xiaomi's and Samsung's oil paintings look. But still behind Apple and Google
6. In video, it does not have 8K. And i will take Iphone and Vivo over Huawei, Xiaomi, and Samsung's video

Beaming out these radio signals for a very short distances consumes so much energy and can be easily blocked, not so efficient compared to 4G LTE.

Disappointing not having the expected new 1" camera sensor!
Though this phone has already the first rank on DXOMARK, but still it could abd should has done better. Rivals are so close besides they have Google services which is abig compromise to ignore!

Only a small minority truly hate.
I just don't like the little lens clusters inside the bigger circular housing , looks and style are subjective I know.
But I much prefer the older Huawei design from say p20 pro and p30.
I have had Huawei in the past but I'm now continuously switching because I can't find one I feel comfortable with long term.

The P50 Pro can zoom up to 200x... digitally.These guys don't post things on how much the zoom and stuff is that will be exagaratted once the phone is realesed this is because there is always bias in every company, no one can tell weather its the phone that's zooming in or the software just cropping into the picture so we will hopefully have all information by wend of August.

Do you guys think they might release a p50 pro plus with 5g and 8k video becuse I think those are the two main places it's lacking, but hopefully after further investigation when the phone is realeaces we can examine and see if those two things are even important.

I do not understand the optical zoom is only 3.5x? P30 Pro has 5x zoom so is it worse?. I thought I would upgrade to P50 Pro but I am not sure now. If anybody can explain how it is. I hoped for 10x optical zoom or more or so.

I don't mind no 5G, don't have any 5G coverage where I live anyways ;)
