Here is a review as I've now been using this device for the past month and a bit and feel like others may find it helpful.
Build Quality 10/10 - Second to none. This is by far the nicest phone I've laid my hands on. Feels amazing in hand, is solid and very well crafted with a premium feel. 5.2" screen is just large enough, if not a bit too large, and I have huge hands. Just over the limit to use one hand comfortably at all times, but the screen real estate makes up for it. The phone while well built using nice materials still feels light in the hands and in the pocket. I've already carelessly dropped my phone several times, and its no worse for wear other than some scuffing on the metal edges, which will happen.. other than this, its solid like a tank.
Screen 9/10 - Beautiful screen.. colors are vibrant and screen is sharp. Brightness is great overall, if a bit on the low side in direct light.. still very usable though. Only knock on it is that its not 1440 but 1080.
Battery 8/10 - Lots and lots of people are trashing this phone on account of the 2600mAh battery.. this to me is a big mistake.. reading about this phone prior to buying it, all of these misinformed opinions had me scared.. fortunately most of them are BS. The battery, although a smaller capacity than other handsets, does just fine for the P8. I have been able to get 5+ hours on screen time and almost 3 full days standby. This is so much better than my previous phone (LG Optimus g) its not even funny. Could it be better? Sure.. of course it could, but this does not automatically make it bad. I blame poor battery life on a defect or USER ERROR.
Camera 8/10 - Overall I am impressed with the camera.. the camera just by the hardware is very good.. works great with plenty of light, but also does an amazing job in low light handheld.. Easily the best phone pics I've ever had when taking in low light, no doubt. Where the camera suffers is more from overtuning on the processing off the sensor, but this is a software issue. That said, photos come out very crisp and with good color saturation and white balance. Using the quick snap photo by touching the downvolume button while the screen is off is also extremely handy when needing to capture quick shots. Where the software does come though is with the built in features like light trail and time lapse and customization modes. I haven't taken too many video recordings, but also does appear that the software lets this area down a bit sadly. I haven't tried using any alternative apps, so not sure if they may control the camera differently..
Audio Quality speaker 8.5/10 headset 10/10 - In most reviews I've read people have somehow omitted audio performance, both with the loudspeaker and when using a headset. I listen to music on my phone almost constantly when at work, so not getting an adequate review on this performance was annoying prior to purchasing. I have found that the speaker, though only mono, does a very good job even with the volume turned up.. it stays clear and can actually get quite loud. When using a good set of earbuds or over the ear headphones and neutron player, the audio output level and dynamic range is very very good. Plenty of level on the output.. people who like listening to their music loud will love this phone, and even at high amplitudes, the sound stays clear and crisp and doesn't peak out or cause any humming or buzzing or clipping. Am SUPER pleased with this aspect of the phone.
Connectivity and Storage 8/10 - Lots of people also have been dogging this handset due to the fact that it has a slot for sd and for sim, but if you use 2x sim, you can no longer use the port for an sd card. Although this is an annoyance, for the vast majority of people who don't use 2 sims, this is a moot point. I have found no issues with the sd port or sim port. Both work fine and as expected. The wireless radio is one area I have a bit of trouble with, as not featuring a 5ghz radio is a very odd choice for 2015. That said, the wireless still performs fairly well if a bit mediocre. 3g/4g performance is excellent. I have much better signal and have not experienced any dropped calls or issues when using data. I have also used the bluetooth numerous times with transferring files and also using handsfree in my car and it works perfectly.
Hardware 7.5/10 - If you're a benchmarker and looking for the cream of the crop, this is one area where people will be the most disappointed. This phone as far as daily usage does very well, but in areas such as graphical performance, it really lacks compared to many flagships, even lacking vs some of last years flagships. The processing performance of the Kirin processor does hold its own however in multitasking, and you can tell that the 4 lower speed cores help a lot toward power savings. I'd like to suggest remembering though, when talking about raw performance, how much cheaper this handset is compared to other offerings.. its really unfair to compare it to the likes of the G4 or Galaxy S6. Yes, it is still disappointing, but not as bad as people make it out to be when price is considered.

It's a great phone .
Easily , 1 day battery life .
Camera is excellent .
No extreme overheating like the SnapDragon 810.
Slim , brilliant design .
Vibrant screen .
Overall a great buy for me .

I just had it for weeks to replace wife's iPhone 4. Only its build quality is good, nothing else. Battery performnce is weak. Photo quality is not as good as advertised. It's over processed, too much sharpening until looses details. U may need to think twice if photo quality is ur first priority. XiaoMi MI4 (which I am currently using) shoots better photos and also lower price. Will let go it for another Mi4

I have this device last month..no doubt beautiful and nice phone...but battery is worse ..worse..wors...bad..bad.really I disappointed...battery life is to short..no browsing...no snaping...only pocket time is 6,7 hours...if I work then only 3,4 hour life...oh my god waisted of money

Although it gets you through the day easily. As per the best battery life phone, the Huawei Mate 7 is the beast with the battery life lasting 2 days easily with LTE.
