Been using the P8 lite 2017 for a few weeks now and it's a great phone. It's fast, responsive, light weight and easy to use. Main and front cameras are very good at this price range. Huawei have also configured the storage in a clever way. If you select the SD card as the default storage then the phone's software integrates the SD card into the internal phone's 16gb memory and voila you get expanded internal storage. On terms of price and specs this phone punches above it's weight. I would highly recommend this phone.

I bought this as soon as it came out and still using it today. Of all the value for money smartphones (not Samsung) I've used over the years it was the biggest disappointment. Had to do a hard reset already and to clean it with the phone manager every day in order not to be laggy. And still is sometimes. Restarts by itself, gets overheated and gets stuck randomly. The screen is good and the camera as well when the settings are tweaked but it's very slow for this amount of RAM (I have it 83% full with the latest update). Plus no option to move apps to SD in order to make more space. I will be upgrading soon.

Why is that Huawei has always problem with Bluetooth.. I have a Huawei GR3 2017 before, now I am a user of Honor 9 Lite.. Everytime I am using my bluetooth speaker, as I open my data the bluetooth always got interrupted. I experienced this in both devices. I tried resetting several times but still not fixed. This sucks!

They said to me that Oreo will be available in August for Europe. Right now it's only for testers

Is anyone else's P8 Lite 2017 phones have problems using apps like Snapchat? On mine, it's so painfully slow that it constantly stalls to the point where it's unusable. Help or advice on how to fix that?

I have the phone and it's becoming a nightmare. It damaged 3 sdcards... And it can't get network on while on auto.... I only US GSM now....
But what bothers me a lot is damaging of sdcards

So, Huawei support answered me and they know nothing, just told me they didn't know when exactly this phone will get the update. Who has to know? The phone is great, news that this almost budget device will get oreo are exciting, but Huawei support makes me sad.

I asked Huawei UK and they told me that the European version of P8 lite 2017 (P9 lite 2017) will get the Android Oreo, they didnt tell me an exact day because it is still under development.
