The hardware of the camera is great but the biggest let down is the camera software optimisation. As far as the hardware is considered the camera on this phone is capable of shooting way better pics and videos than what it does right now.
The camera quality of this device is ultimately dragged down by its improperly implemented camera API. I just hope someone releases a custom ROM for this device with better camera API.
Other than the processor too is a big let down, I still can't understand how a processor with such a high number of Cortex-A72 cores still not able to encode and decode 4K media. Just where the hell those truckloads of processing power being wasted. Even a old Snapdragon 801 processor supports 4K encoding and decoding why can't this new powerful processor do that?

In response to the guy who claims overheating issues... The reviews of the P9 have stated no overheating during benchmark tests... I've handled the P9 in a couple of shops both been on retail demo's all day, they were both cooler than the S7 and Z5 premium which were similarly set up. The latest incarnations of Snapdragon and Exynos processors both are reported to have 30-40% throttling due to overheating after less than 0.5 hours of use!

Well... No FM Radio = No buy. As simple as that.
And boy, i was waiting for this phone to be released.
If Huawei had put FM Radio and dual sim with a separeted micro sd expansion, i've certainly would have bought this. This way, i'll have to look at another brand... The first brand that puts both these specs along with great design and great hardware specs will get my money, for sure.

Just buy P9 two days before & worst thing happened when I came to know that the USB port is Usb 3.1 type-c 1.0 reversible which is not like universal port or other smartphone which are using Micro usb Type B, If Company want to use USB 3.0 why don't they use Micro-b Usb 3.0 - What they are thinking to compare their product with iphone to become different from others........NOW U CANNOT ABLE TO USE FLASH USB DIRECTLY TO THIS PHONE......who ever is planning to buy this phone think before .....

I saw your comment as soon it posted, but till then i already buy it. I would not have buy this phone. All things with the phone is OK for me, except this heating issue. Really disappointed. Price in Saudi Arabia is $480 with free gifts worth $240. After this P9 heating issue, to me gifts look more worth than phone it self. i don't think Huawei will fix this issue.

Camera quality is a charm. Fingerprint sensor works fast with just a tap, no need to swipe or press long. Screen visibility is really good whether indoor or outdoor under direct sunlight.
Its slim metal unibody is very nice to hold and the almost bezeless 5.2" screen is great.

Again i really dont understand the manufactures....why dont we have a P9 with dual-sim in Europe????
god sake im postponing to buy my smartphone cause i want 5, 5.2 inch smartphone with dual-sim.....dont need to say that needs to be good looking and with mid-high specs.

This phone is not too expensive compared to Samsung, Sony, HTC etc, but it is pricey compared to comparable Chinese offerings. It's not just the high-end camera that ups the price. All of Huawei's higher end phones are expensive compared with similar Chinese phones and some are right up there with the most expensive ones from the better known brands. Unless you want a big brand, there are better deals around.

Tcool, 03 May 2016How to enable it please? I use TuneIn radio app.It depends on your carrier, in the UK the only network that has the fm enabled for the P9 is Three mobile, all the others don't. You can contact your carrier and ask them to enable it but they will probably tell you it can't be done. Your next option is to try nextradioapp.com, go to their Web site and down load the app, there is lots of information on it. You may need to have your device rooted for it work. If that fails to work you're stuck, it would have to be activated manually which is more trouble than it is worth.
I'm thinking of buying a P9, how is the device to use day to day?
