DrElmer, 17 Nov 2018I have had the P9 lite for about a year, but a few days ago... moreP9 lite user here.. the heat source you described is conming from the cpu.. thats where it's located..it means you have something overusing your cpu... Constantly running at its fullest.. i recommend that you format your phone..

    I have had the P9 lite for about a year, but a few days ago the phone started getting warm and not holding a charge. It now takes about 16-18 hours to charge and holds a charge for less than 8 hours (with the phone in standby - no calls or web surfing). Normally I would just replace the battery, but the battery is built-in. It also bothers me that the source of the heat is at the upper end of the phone, well above the battery and at the opposite end of the phone from the charging port.

      Had P9 lite 2 years, everything works well, its only the 16GB not enough after those apps upgrade.

        From one day to another my phone started to gobble the battery power. The OS is Android 8.0 but after the software update it used the power normally for a good while, then once it changed its behaviour. No new app installed. Earlier I had to charge it every other day only, now it cannot run for 24 hours with the same low level usage. I use this phone from August 2017, so it is ca. 15 months old.
        Does anybody experience such a problem? Should I have the battery changed?

          P 9 Lite is very good. Everything works perfect (even camera has manual settings after the update) but after the Oreo Update the free memory from the 16gb with 5-6 apps are only 1Gb free. You can not use app to SD programms. I try everything but they didnt work. Too bad because i like this phone. I will try for last time factory settings. If i don t fing any more free space i don t now what to do.........I m searching for a solution without root......

            Better you buy Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 for 179 $ for this reasons :
            1. Better battery , almos 9 hrs of SOT
            2. Infrared Port
            3. More pixeles , more display , 6´´
            4. Design and features . Better camera ;)

              My Huawei P9 lite is running out of memory. Features in general are fine, but it is disturbing to know that Chinese are doing something in the background without me having any control over that. Most likely that is why the phone is almost out of memory, too. Any suggestions what is a good replacement? Prefer non Chinese brand.

                  hi everyone..my suggestion for all of you if u wana buying mobile phone just buy the p9 lite . its perfect mobile by every single feature. but original p9 lite not copy . copy phonr available in 13000 pkr. original maybe not in market but used available.

                    The phone is fine. the main launcher and the base of the phone's software are kinda weak and don't give enough customizability, which can be fixed by installing launchers. I do like the fact that pretty much everything can be customized with the right app.some other phones do not allow this level of customization. the default phone manager on the phone is GOD.

                      Phone is fine but the software give alots of troubles, battery hardly keep long depends on which apps, Pokemon, Pubg etc drain them quick.

                      Camera is okay but better phones is now out.

                      I won't go back to huawei phones again...

                      Biggest improved they need is theirs OS AND SOFTWARE OF ALL NEEDED.,

                          A S5 is 10 time better then this phone! I have this phone for over a year now. This are some of the problems with it: 1 the audio quality is execrable (an analogical phone has better quality then this one, is so bad that I have to introduce myself overtime and check that I call the right person), the glass displayed is so slippery that the phone just slaps from every surfaces (I manage to destroy the back glass after 2 weeks), the pictures do not have true colors, and after 15 month the capacity of the battery drooped by more then 1/3 (it can be used on battery max 6 hours)

                                I love this phone since it takes beautiful pictures and in terms of security purposes it is good because no one can access the security coding

                                        The camera is suppose to be good but the image turn out to be quite bad. Immediately sold it away. Disappointing phone.
