Hello Guys, I've been using my P Smart for 3 months now and here is my long review:
• Battery Life: I'm not that much of a heavy user, I tend to close any app at the moment I go to another one but I do watch a lot of videos on youtube and navigate on the web quite a lot throughout the day. I use Instagram and Twitter as main social media, I do not use Facebook or Messenger nor do I have them installed but I do know they drain your battery faster so tae that in mind. Spotify is what I use the most, it is always on background playing music while I use my phone.
On weekdays when I have to work and don't use my phone that often, from 7am when I start my day with news or podcasts to 7 or 8 pm when I get home my battery goes down from 100% to 40%-30%, I charge at night until 10pm before going to sleep until it is fully charged and then I put in on airplane mode to avoid battery drain and wake up to my phone still being at 100%
Weekends are my heaviest day use, from 9 am to 1pm it drains down to 40% (youtube, Spotify ALL the time, Gmail, chrome, WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter, camera, Shazam and reading quite a lot of articles), I rarely play any games (maybe 30 minutes when I do). I charge it about one hour until it is at 70% again and at 8 pm it goes down 30%-20%
• Battery get an 8.3 out of 10 as Huawei's EMUI OS learns about your daily usage on your phone and as the weeks goes by, it learns your patrons to help you improve battery life, but still with heavy use you will need to charge at least once a day for at least 1 or 2 hours.
EMUI OS: Screen response is smooth and I am pretty happy with it, EMUI is easy to use and you can choose to have more of an Android experience or IOS experience, if you ask me, I will say you can have kind of the best of both worlds in one phone, still Huawei's OS has a few things to offer you that gives you a personalized experience, you can customize it pretty much as much as you want.
When multitasking phone's response is good, when I use two or three apps at the same times it can handle it nicely, but if you use more than 3 apps at the same time (maybe split screen with video, an article, and a game paused on background) you can expect some lag, not as much as with others budget phones tho but just take in mind that you can't ask this phone to make what a Mate 10 can do.
• EMUI and Multitasking gets an 7.9 out of 10 for this. Still impressive to what it can do for that price.
Camera: I usually take close up shots with manual focus since I like my backgrounds blurred. I am happy with pro camera mode, normal camera mode is just ok. About main camera: Colors are a little bit washed out on normal mode but you can fix that with pro camera mode, just have in mind that it will take you a few seconds to adjust colors and mode before taking your ideal pictures. Bokeh mode is better on main camera but still, expect edges and hair to be a little be fuzzy sometimes and get pieces of your clothes or hair eaten by bokeh mode if there is no good daylight.
Selfie camera is just ok, it does a good job in my opinion but I've defintely seen better. I feel pictures are sharpe on selfie mode too but main camera is just way better, and you have more options there too.
Pictures on day are great! you can reach good colors with pro mode but better not to rely too much on your P smart's camera at night unless you have a tripod or selfie stick.
• Camera gets 7.8 out of 10 for this. Not the best out there, not the worst, still you have pro mode to fix anything about your photo that you do not like!
Fingerprint reader: Huawei has probably one of the fastest fingerprint readers there are out there, for real, time response of the P Smart is around 0.30 to 0.60 seconds, it's crazy how they give you this good fingerprint sensor in such a budget smartphone.
• 10 out of 10, just so much comfort when unblocking your phone, you'll love it. Practical, easy and very reliable. You can lock apps and albums with you fingerprint too for more privacy.
Upates: I bought my P Smart on March and I've been getting patches once a month. That is just my experience tho, It can change depending on your country, I guess some will have more updates than others. I do know that Huawei will improve P smarts performance with boost update on August ( https://www.gsmarena.com/huawei_will_deliver_its_gpu_turbo_tech_to_older_phones_from_flagship_to_midrange-news-31649.php ) so let's wait until then to see what happends.
• A close 8 out of 10 on this topic.
Audio: Probably its weakest point here. You can easily cover the speakers by accident as it is in a awkward position, also audio jack is in a bad position if you ask me, it gets in the way when I want to play with headphones. Speakers are not that good, somehow weak so I will just say straight use Bluetooth speakers instead.
• 6.5 out of 10 on this one.
Overall experience:
• 8.5 out of 10 for P Smart •
I think those users that will be happy with this phone are the ones that have a normal daily use like social media, pictures for your FB and Instagram will be pretty good, you have beauty mode for selfies and you are going to have a good experience watching videos on youtube, my phone has never lagged when playing a video. Video games can be played nicely as long as they are not games that require top specs. Bright on screen is ok, you need it at max when there is a lot of sunlight. The battery will last if you are this kind of user.
I have not had heat problems so far.
It does have notification LED.
Body feels very slim and somehow delicate, a case is strongly recommended! I have dropped it just twice from my bed and have not had any scratch but I do not think this phone can take falls from very high, so take that in mind.
Hope this review helps you know if you are planning to buy a P Smart.
Cheers.

Idk, 02 Jun 2018Who is better?
Huawei P Smart or Xiaomi Mi A1?
Need hel... moreI have a P Smart, and it's quite decent for the price. However, I would still recommend the Mi A1 for it's better performance, and better main camera. But when it comes to the screen, I find the P Smart's brighter and with punchier colors compared to the Mi A1. There's also the Android One vs EMUI.
Those are good points to consider :)
