After long documentaries about Huawei, I decided to buy a Huawei P Smart 2019 smartphone more for the Kirin processor it comes with, but also for the 64GB internal memory it has. Okay, only 55 GB usable. I have to tell you that I am a fan of Samsung, so far only using Samsung phones. Until today when I bought my first Huawei and I do not regret the pass that I did. Below I want to tell you my first impression of the phone on the first day of use.

*Content of the package:

In the box you will find the instructions for using the phone, a small book that you need a magnifying glass to read and which is heavier than the phone itself. It's not the phone as hard as that instruction book. In addition, you find the USB cable, charger, sim card and SD card, warranty,headphoned



*First impression:

The phone is really great, the screen is generous, beautifully lit and I like that you can use it very easily with one hand without having to activate "one-handed use" option that I had on my old Samsung phone with Android 8 Oreo. Huawei does not know if she has this option and I do not think it's necessary because I tell you from my own experience, there's no need for this feature on this phone. At least I do not need it.

The Huawei P Smart 2019 fingerprint sensor responds quickly to the touch but is not as sure about the security of the device (I'll tell you below). The pictures are really beautiful, they do not lock in applications, they do not have a lag, the sound is even strong in both the helmet and the loudspeaker. Regarding audio, what I do not like is the "music" app that comes preinstalled on your phone. The application seems to me a little bit bad because there is no equalizer or something to set the bass. And when you download a Bass Booster app from Play Store, you can not use the music player at the same time as playing the music for several seconds at the "Bass Booster" setting, then the music application disables that setting and you must go back to Bass Booster app, set it up, then the music application turns off again. I have refused to use the Music pre-installed app on my phone in favor of a music player that I have paid for.


As for gaming all I can say is that I installed Real Racing 3 and PUBG Mobile, the latter to test my performance. The Huawei P Smart 2019 bought it for Real Racing 3.

* Real Racing 3 runs smoothly on HIGH graphics. The extra-high graphics do not come into play and the message "The application does not respond." It has not happened to heat the phone too hard by playing this game on the graphics set to high. Demo video here youtu.be/JWFzwvW63Do


* The PUBG Mobile game runs up to HD resolution and occasional lag. The bad part that using this graphics makes the phone become iron because the CPU is very hot. Demo video here youtu.be/x93ULRHM2eA

ABOUT ASPHALT 9: I tried to download it from Play Store and there is no download. When using "Asphalt 9" search, I only find Asphalt 8 or similar applications. So I do not know how some people say on youtube that they played Asphalt 9 on this phone because it does not exist for download.

Calling quality is even WAW. In the loudspeaker I hear, and the interlocutor hears me too. As far as I know, the Huawei P Smart 2019 offers two microphones.

Cons: Does not have Gorilla Glass and is completely plastic. The fingerprint sensor does not provide complete safety to the device. For example, I set the ID with my fingerprint, then I handed my girlfriend's phone and my mom's fingerprint scanner. The phone also unlocks the fingerprint of other people. I set the fingerprint ID with my right hand finger, and the other people I gave them to test the fingerprint sensor unlocked the device with the left hand ring finger or the "middle" finger on the right hand. So the fingerprint sensor does not provide 100% safety, especially if you also have Smart Lock enabled.

    I totally agree, had the Nokia 7.1 before but after problems and awful sound and call quality I got this phone instead. Feels a lot better and call quality is great on this! Would recommend this over many phones that cost a lot more.

        Amazing phone! For such price there are no better phone, just be sure. Good screen with good angle view, pure sound and hi quality cameras, and for the end fast processor with a similar to Snap 660. Just check comparison test with Redmi Note 7, which is more expensive. I think Huawei made amazing phone for low cost level.

            I found that Huawei made stupid shortcut for android. Now you CAN NOT turn of GPS and Google positioning. Only the choise is everything is off or everything is on (and wasting battery).

              I would go for the p smart 2019 personally as I would consider it a more up to date p20 lite as it has a newer chipset and has ai camera which guarantees you good photos, it also has a newer android version.

                                  The only drawback is worse battery life compared to the Mi A2 Lite, but most heavy users carry a powerbank anyway.

Yes, its olastic but imo it feels nice in hands. only bad thing I can say is that cameras arent reallygood, but aint bad either. It's average for the price. Baterry is kinda okay, couldve been better, for average users it will be good '
                                        , for heavy ones not so much..
