This is such a nicely designed phone, shame that there are still sanctions on this innovative company.

16/10 is right! I recall Sony had a laptop with 16/10 the giant 18.4 inch series back from 2008...real usable area. This one is correct-not some banana phone tv remote stuff that is just nice to look at and play with one hand and watch videos

I recall the wide ones that came in first-then they gradually started whittling away at the width year after year...and now instantly you have the folks coming in saying how they cannot hold this and work with one hand etc...this is not meant to be one of those-you have plenty of choices in those banana phones. It should be 18:9. Not 16:9. The world is replacing 16:9 with 18:9.
16:9 or 16:10 only make sense for a larger tablet... This isn't as large as a ipad mini or a base model 10" ipad.
It might be more worthwhile to turn this into a 14" laptop-sized foldable (on one side, 14" on the other side) ---> Then you can unfold it into a 24"/32" desktop monitor that you can then hang on a wall or setup on a table. (A "foldable monitor" that you can fit in your backpack just like a 14" laptop + You can cover the bottom half with a keyboard accessory)
You have to use the "Folio" moniker, because I speculate apple will call their foldable "Apple Folio", not apple "fold". "mini" will be a smaller Folio. "Air" will be the iPhone sized Folio. "Pro" will be the iPad Pro sized foldable. whereas "Max" & "Studio" will be the laptop/monitor sized folios.
No, I'm not from the future.

Bob the web dev, 20 Mar 2025Trade import and inflation, why they are expensive in the w... moreNot true. In China, their pricing is on par with Apple. It is generally considered an expensive brand, just that they have cheaper offerings as well compared to Apple.
Biggest issue I have with Huawei is always the chipset. Else their stuff seems really good.

Omg wth, that's actually a genius idea 🤯
A foldable that "flips". A flippable.
The 16:10 ratio is very missed. That's a more sane ratio for a tablet, at least from my own experience with 16:10 tablets.

This is the very first foldable that I like! This is a fold and flip at the same time. An amazing size and ratio for reading and watching
