Interestingly, this phone is narrower then the Sony Xperia Z Ultra from 2014, which had a 6.4" 16:9 screen. So I guess welcome back "Phablet" form factor.

I'm not a fan of Huawei but the fact they could make a smartphone at 16:10 ratio among all foldable devices. You hit the spot by breaking away from conventional ratios. I hope other manufacturers could be creative as Huawei. They all look the same now and tiring as,f. Oligarchy/Monopoly kills innovation.

While I'm still not a fan of foldable phones in general, it's hard to ignore the main screen's tablet aspect ratio. Huawei seems to be onto something interesting here.

Well this has some potential. It's clearly not going to replace traditional flip-style foldables, but it seems like the sweet spot between a book-style foldable and a flip-style foldable. Only Huawei is doing such bold moves lately, and you've got to respect them for that, at least.

literally saw this on a tiktok an hour ago, thought it was a prototype from 2020 with that camera design. It came out just now. Love the idea of making it a notepad instead of those square foldables. Really loved how the rear screen works
