Huawei releases schedule for GPU Turbo update for its smartphones
Huawei has announced the list of devices that will be getting its GPU Turbo feature. Along with device names, the company also revealed approximately when these devices will be getting the feature in a future update.
All in all, there are fourteen devices that have been confirmed to receive the update. The update will start rolling out next month for devices such as the new Mate 10 and the P20 Pro. Others will be receiving it in September and some, such as the Mate 9 and P10 Plus in November.
The GPU Turbo feature is a bit of a head scratcher. Huawei claims it will improve graphics processing efficiency by 60% and reduce power consumption by 30%. GPU Turbo will also improve AR and VR performance as well as EMUI performance.
Those are some big claims, especially when the company provides no way to back them. We really have no idea how this feature works. All we know is that for now it's only works with PUBG Mobile and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, with more game support to be added later.

GPU Turbo tech is a cheap trick of rendering game content at lower resolution and overclocking GPU.
